I have a ASRock M3A770DE and two Sapphire Xtreme 5830. But for some reason I can't get it to work with 2 GPU and I was wondering if I have to have a CF Connector? In the "Show your rig pictures" Topic I saw many rigs without one.... The moment the PC starts the Card on the second PCIE slot goes at full Fan speed the regulates itself.... And in WinXP 32bit is no second card listed neither in the CCC.... I googled and tried 3h now plz help :/ Title: Re: Crossfire Bridge Post by: syllogyst on June 17, 2011, 10:16:06 PM I've read a couple times on this forum that you need to have the 2nd graphics card detect that it is being in use for it to function. That requires either plugging in a 2nd monitor, or attaching a dummy plug that tricks the card into thinking it's being used. I've found one here:

I tried to: 1. Both cards, very card connected to 1 seperate monitor 2. one card in pcie slot 2 ( orange x4 ) And always the same the second card goes at full fan speed from the start ( yes I swapped them too and everytime the one at bay 2 ). If there is only one card at bay 2 it is the same without a picture output at the monitor! But i think if u have a crossfire bridge u use the first time and extend to 2 monitores. done that go CCC disable crossfire and remove the crossfire bridge connected 2 graphics to two monitors or dummy plug. Restart computer and see if there is 2 graphics. Because if PC will boot with one video card in the suspected bad slot then the PCI-E slot works and its another issue all together.
