A US aircraft carrier-led strike group is headed toward the Western Pacific Ocean near the Korean Peninsula. Trump warned that the US was prepared to act unilateral to stop North Korea's nuclear program from advancing further should China be unwilling to use its leverage over Pyongyang. America is really becoming great?

Thats the first move of US to condemn the Kim jong Un regimen and to show the power of USA and I think China will do that also after meeting with Trump.

I thought Trump was going to focus on whats really matters to the American people but it seems his buttons are being pushed by someone else, i agree Kim Jong Un is a dictator and his nuclear weapons and ambitions are a threat to the entire world. but this will lead to loss of innocent North Korean lives and i wish it could be prevented.

As a Christian we have to pray for the world as third world war may bring an end to this generation. We should pray for united states of American as any negative decision they will take might bring America down. The nuclear weapons war will create a great devastation compared to those weapon used during world war two.

This is a response to North Korea's ballistic testing in the Sea of Japan. And it has carried several nuclear test that the US says could lead towards developing nuclear weapons that could reach US seaboard. I lauded President Trump for deploying a US aircraft carrier to deter North Korea to further continue testing this nuclear capability. Even Trump says that he is willing to act even without China's cooperation.

Considering all of this, I still hope that war should be averted at all cost because lives of innocent people will be lost. Diplomatic channels should be used instead to prevent the conflict of both nation.

I just hope that the Americans are not stupid enough to use Tomahawks against the DPRK. They should remember that unlike Syria, North Korea is a nuclear nation, and their missiles can reach targets located thousands of kilometers away.

I honestly believed that this will not end in a war on both sides. This is US saying to North Korea that they should think twice before launching another test because us(USA) will be watching your every moved. And they also have that in mind, they know North Korea has and will used nuke if necessary.

Quite right. I agree with your opinion. With the government of North Korea, you should not joke. If other leaders are dictators who can still think about the future and the consequences, then North Korea has no intelligence.

Nothing to see here, every time Un tests his missiles or some new weapons, the south and us will retaliate with a joint exercise of send some war fleets over to showboat, nothing new, nothing ever happens

Knowing how crazy Kim Jong Un is, I don't think that he will be ready for any compromise. Now this is what going to happen:

1. Fat boy will order another round of missile tests
2. Tomahawks will destroy missile installations in the DPRK
3. Fat boy will try to destroy South Korea and Japan with nukes.
4. Even more Tomahawks.

This is the most favorable outcome. Long ago it was necessary to destroy this idiot. I don't understand why so long waiting. You can also wait for when this young fool will create a rocket which can fly to any country in the world.

North Korean leaders have not only the mind, but fortunately they don't have opportunities. The maximum that can North Korea's nuke from the plane, but nowadays it is not real. No North Korean aircraft is not flying over the ocean.

Underground testing is bad, but I'm less concerned than testing new missiles, and they cannot be tested under the ground. I think you need to destroy the North Korean regime before they will create an Intercontinental ballistic missile.

I think Tramp plays with muscles before his electorate. Nobody benefits from the heat in Asia region.

Even if the North Koreans manage to create some sort of Intercontinental ballistic missiles, don't you think that the US and the other Western nations will be able to destroy it before reaching the target? As far as military technology is concerned, the DPRK is ages behind the super-powers.

You guys do not understand those folks. They spent most of their history with fighting foreign invaders like chinese, mongolians, manchu, japs, and only God knows who else. For them Amaricans are just the latest brutes in the queue. They have no real idea about democracy. In a nutshell the autocratic system of the Three Kingdoms was replaced by the autocratic system of Joseon, then the autocratic Joseon system was replaced by the autocratic Japanese system, and finally they ended up with an autocratic stalinist system. Even in South Korea - after 70 years of "democracy" and western influence - democracy is only a glazing on a basically autocratic system where chaebols holding the true power.

They genuinely see their leaders as great man whom working day and night to keep them safe and for improving the country as much as possible. In this view the "american barbarians" with their corrupted minions on the south, and their former japanese masters are the "axis of evil" what want to enslave and exploit them again. So do not expect cheering masses in NK even after destroying the NK regime.
