I just started buying BTC in March.  I really liked using Bitfloor because it was easy to use.  Sad to see it go.  I have not tried MtGox yet.  Just holding on to my small stash for now.  As for mining?  I would think there might be some females doing that but I would assume most guys doing it are young single males.  Maybe that is a wrong assumption but it seems to be the case. ;)

Yes. I am a female. Discovered Bitcoin two weeks ago. Since my Lenovo G580 is a mere CPU (It's an upgrade to my Windows XP so stop laughing!) I am incapable of mining and do the whole clicking around in the free BTC sites since I am broke.

I started way back when i had a 9800XT, before the HD series of cards even came out. starting from scratch and working your way up from nothing makes it that much more rewarding.

I'm a youngster, at that time all I did was use Paint xD I just wanna try and see how this goes, but I do confess I cheered when I made my first dollar. xD

I am a lady bitcoin miner.

I put 10k$ into a GPU farm in 2011. 
Now I want to make bitcoins my career so I need to network.
But you bet I am not going with a gender specific username.  People fear what they don't understand, and judging by this thread, some bitcoiners aren't exactly experts on women. 

less than 1% of people in the internets is a girl  :P
