Title: Any TL;Dr for segwit?
Post by: puremage111 on April 10, 2017, 11:42:30 AM
As based on https://bitcoincore.org/en/2016/01/26/segwit-benefits/, it mentioned that segwit is a soft fork which includes wide range of feature.

So can we consider Segwit is something like a update package? Like windows update?

As the article is quite in a technical area, anyone can general explain what is Segwitt generally for?
If it's so good why Btu against it?

Thanks

Segwit is a Trojan, that will allow Banking Cartels to Control BTC thru Offchain Manipulations. IMO

But if you want to read the truth and not BTC Core BS propaganda.
Read the whole article , it is an excellent explanation of segwit problems.

Conclusion

Segregated Witness is the most radical and irresponsible protocol upgrade Bitcoin has faced in its eight year history.
The push for the SW soft fork puts Bitcoin miners in a difficult and unfair position to the extent that they are pressured into enforcing a complicated and contentious change to the Bitcoin protocol, without community consensus or an honest discussion weighing the benefits against the costs.
The scale of the code changes are far from trivial?—?nearly every part of the codebase is affected by SW.

Yes, actually.  If you're try to get new update for your windows and there will more features available on your dekstop, right?

Fixing the malleability problem of bitcoin, but as far as i know segwit will also be offering blocksize upgrade between 1.6 MB - 2 MB.
If it's so good why Btu against it?
Because they're also trying to implement his proposal and try to drive the bitcoin chain.
