Title: How can someone create their own crypto-currency? Post by: dannymack on April 24, 2013, 01:35:10 PM I've searched online and even in this forum and I have yet to find a guide or any step-by-step in creating a new crypto-currency. I have to believe this comes up quite often.

I assume that since creating a usable cryptocurrency would require a certain level of computer programming knowledge, most people just assume that anyone with that level of knowledge would be capable of looking at the current open source bitcoin code and figuring out for themselves what they would need to change.
