Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: KingFisher9 on June 17, 2011, 11:16:37 PM And.....just like that its at 14.8 a few minutes later
Is it normal for a market to have so many more sellers than buyers? Is this happening because of a lack of faith in BTC? Is this a sign that its over valued? Or are the early adopters simply trying to cash in their profits? Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: KingFisher9 on June 17, 2011, 11:20:04 PM 14.21 now where did you get that chart? Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: Grant on June 17, 2011, 11:22:10 PM where did you get that chart? Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: imperi on June 17, 2011, 11:40:59 PM Ever dropped a ball from a roof and noticed what happens when it hits the ground? According to linear regression theory, it would continue downwards. According to linear progression theory, it will continue upwards!Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: SgtSpike on June 17, 2011, 11:55:23 PM Ever dropped a ball from a roof and noticed what happens when it hits the ground? It depends... what material is the ball and the ground made of?Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: marcus_of_augustus on June 17, 2011, 11:59:03 PM MtGOX said they were "cooperating with the authorities" ... is tantamount to them saying "MtGOX was a honeypot for people searching for privacy" ... I think the privacy-conscious money has decided MtGOX is a risk that is not worth it right now .... anybody got a clue on why both MtGOX and TradeHill have US bank accounts in Delaware? what is special about that state? Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: bodhipraxis on June 18, 2011, 12:12:49 AM anybody got a clue on why both MtGOX and TradeHill have US bank accounts in Delaware? what is special about that state? Delaware is a major tax and bank haven, right in the mouth of the lion. See, for instance: http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/nov/01/delaware-leading-tax-haven Delaware allows you to obscure accountholder names. :D Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: DonnyCMU on June 18, 2011, 12:30:58 AM Actually... I think I know why.
3PM PST, Dwolla e-mail me (and probably many people) that the bank deposit has finally been cleared. I have been waiting for this since Monday. And it would take only 10-15 min. to deposit that into Mt.Gox today. Short moment afterwards.... $3 spike Sadly, I'm not monitoring my mail, and miss the mini-rally. US is seriously messed-up in the head. Title: Re: $3 jump Post by: hazek on June 18, 2011, 12:43:16 AM You do realize mtgox shows 27% of bids from spot down and 73% of asks from spot up, do you? With all the talk that the weekend brings a drop in prices due to ACH transfers not being processed, my thesis is that everyone has staged money for the weekend in order to take advantage of the drop. Therefore, I bought today, just ahead of this weekend's surge. ;) ...only time will tell if my thesis is correct.
