We asked in October last year if 1 Zcash was worth 5 bitcoins (http://fintekneeks.com/my-view-is-1-zcash-worth-over-1000-bitcoins/) and our view at the time was no (we estimated it would be less than $50 in a year).  On the speculation side, we still view the infrastructure the same - it has a long way to go.

zcash have a very high emission rate now, look at the block time and reward, and value, the emission is crazy high, 10 coins x 576 block day x 0.05 btc each one, this is almost 300 btc per day and only etheruem have a higher rate than this, but the value of zcash isn't that high, in fact zcash is not among the first 10 coins on coinmarketcap and only with 66M of marketcap

Too many coins getting created, inflation rate will be too high for too much time, i dont know what developers were thinking.

I think XMR is a better anonymous coin than ZCash, im not sure about the tech but from what i've read if I had to to trust my safety on anonymous transaction I would use XMR and not ZCash because I dont like the fact that you must devs in having properly deleted the masterkey.

Well 5 bitcoins ? How'd even say it as a long way to go when that shit coin failed miserably ? On what basis do you guys speculate your theories from ? Having said that,developer having access to my private keys is a big Nope for me.Have fun with your 'anonymity'.

Zcash is worth over $5000 for people who purchased it when it first hit the market ,other than that this is just a coin like Monero and Dash and i do prefer them when i need to send some secure transaction than Zcash,but it is a good option to have but it is not worth those valuation with the control the developers have over it.

$5000 is a silly target for the zcash itself. This coin will worth below the monero, I can say monero is better than this one. I think zcash will never being $5000 in the future. Because roger ver backed him .  :P

The rate of increase is similar to what Bitcoin had in its early days. The total number of coins will be 21 million, which makes it comparable to Bitcoin. The downside is Zcash's price is high in terms of bitcoins, and this results in a mental block for some people.

I think when the emission rate is lower in the future, the price will rise a lot.

I don't​ see the price moving too much, transaction fee too high, and mining is not profitable.

Zcash price is never incraese until reach 5bitcoin/zcash this mean over 5000 dollar
if accident zcash holder can rich, and zcash can die because is people is never buy zcash again

It could be true. The whales are still accumulating. So the price is low.

Joel_Jantsen and OrangeP have some nice arguments here, and after spending last hour in reading about zcash I`m not sure what to think about this coin, my opinion goes in negative direction that is all. I will follow a bit this zcash I`m curios what will happen.

$ 5,000 is very exaggerated, but not for $ 500.

I think $500 could be reached in a year.

But are you serious you all ? How could a ZCash be worth 500$ and do not even talk about 5000$ ? Its sole feature is a something that is branded as anonymous but it does not even work and require the developpers. Beside that, they have an outrageous developper tax on each block created. Its current price is very representative of its real value.

People didn't think Bitcoin would zoom to $1000+, did they?
If the developer tax is what spooks you, then you should look at ZCL (ZClassic). If others think on lines similar to you, ZCL could replace ZCash.

Does the ZCL have strong financial support?

At least up to this point, ZCL has had similar moves with ZEC.  This could change in the future.

You can say that btc can be above 2000$ but atcoins in general to achieve the 2000$ can be really hard and it can take 3-5 years to reach at price. Speaking of zcash i really underestimated it when it came in starting but seeing the price has reached 95$ i do have a feeling that soon we can see zcash touching new heights

From its low, it's done fine measured in USD.  Measured in BTC, it's done so-so.  I can think of several others that have done much better when measured in BTC, including ZCL.
