Title: Hiribi.com
Post by: lesqld on April 11, 2017, 08:47:29 AM
My first post here, hello to everyone.  Pardon me if I am in the wrong forum category.

I tried Hiribi.com today for a small transaction to see how it works.

I wanted to sell btc so after registration to hiribi I hit the sell bitcoin button which gave me the address to send my bitcoin to, and my paypal address to credit my sale funds to.

Process was pretty quick, approx half hour or less from registration till my funds arrived in my Paypal account.

The sale was in USD, and my paypal account in AUD, and after fees/currency conversion I was $AUD 4.00 in front for selling 0.041588 bitcoin. Not much, but I'm in front. So yes, I applaud Hiribi.

So I left a good feedback for them.

Anyone-else tried Hiribi?

Cheers

First time i hear about it, but will never use for sure. This activity is prohibited by Paypal TOS, and i wouldn't risk my paypal account just for doing an exchange. So if you use this, your account is at risk. Sure people can say, but i receive payments without problem ect, but soon or later they will change their version. No matter if the personn behind this service basically want to make "legit" transaction. Fact is Paypal + Money exchange or Bitcoin = NO

It seems strange, no offense, but your post looks like someone posting who came to promote that site.

Looks like new company (registered 2 Feb 2017), they provide their address company and the document which already registered, but not provide their team/who behind this.
Not sure it's legit company.

Indeed, seems like OP try to promote to earn something affiliate program reward (?) In the site written option which you can earn money ???

It seems, as what i read is your trying to promote it or your part/team in that site. Anyways i'm still confuse why would you make an risk in your paypal account if there's so many trusted paypal and btc members here in btctalk, like sardasa, minerjones, zazarb, philipma and so many more. Try to use an escrow if you want to make your deal would be safe

They are buying $120 above the exchange rate. Why would they pay so much? Nobody will ever give you free money and their rates would look much more convincing if they were paying just $10 over the exchange price.  Going so much above the going price would be a suicide for any legitimate business, so here's my prediction. They will keep this scam going for a while until they gain enough trust to lure a whale and then they'll disappear with his coins and request paypal chargebacks.

So this is a biitcoin exchange  and this is the first time I  heard about this.exchange and I guess its just new so theirs no guarantee that this site is legit so becareful and be aware of this site to avoid your coin scsm of this site.

Stay away from this site.

Only the noob will believe in their high price per bitcoin.
Quote
We BUY your BTC FOR
1350.33$ USD/BTC
:o This is too good to be true.

Another thing is that paypal doesn't allow any business to have paypal to bitcoin or vice versa exchange so this can't be legit.

lastly don't get fooled by their company certificate registered in UK, anybody can use forged document to register such company like most of the hyip do by paying few hundreds dollar.

This is not a typical exchange, because the only available option is PayPal, known for going against Bitcoiners and blocking accounts. Even if they were paying going rates I'd avoid them just because of PayPal, because this will not go forever. Once their account is flagged they could block all the outgoing transactions and linked accounts, including the one you're using.
If they were legit, nothing would stop people from buying Bitcoin on any real exchange and sending it directly to hiribi for a quick 10% profit.

1.If the company claims to be all certified, why does it still use a freely available wallpaper as their businesses back ground ?
2.Why do they seem so desperate with all the unprofessional tags ? They have phone number, address and all but no customers apart from you ? Shady.

I don't know this hiribi, but I already saw many people being scammed by sites like this, especially from east countries. I don't suggest anyone to use this kind of site, it's not only risky because paypal doesn't accept, but because the site can scam you.
There are trusted members on this forum which can help you with this kind of transaction, it's safer to deal with them than using a third party unknown service without face or reputation.

It's an obvious scam to most people, but there are probably a few newbies that will fall for these scams.

It will cost the people behind the site a hundred $ at most to set up the site and to host it. If they even get 5 to 10 people that will "sell" a minimum of 0.5BTC to them, then the site has already paid off for them.

All other lower amounts will be an extra bonus for them. If things look too good to be true, then they mostly are. If they really wanted to buy Bitcoin at such prices, they could easily do so through various ways. Use common sense!

For you looking for more info about this site, they have an official thread here on BitcoinTalk Forum. There aren't good reviews, but some suspects about the service legitimacy... Looks this service isn't being use very much.

They offer to buy your bitcoin for 10% from what I have heard about them on some sites that advertise their escrow to do their deals.

Great to see all these comments.

To those who thought I was trying to promote the site - I had no intention to do that.

The consensus is to avoid the site, and I will do that for a while to see how it develops.

Thanks for your advice.

If you want to try them out then go to bitify.
They are on there and with their on site escrow you can try them out.
I think I saw an ad from them for a sale of $10 bitcoin which you send to bitify's escrow and they hold it until they send you the $11 in paypal.
You get your paypal and withdraw it to you bank account. Then you release the bitcoin on bitify.
Wouldn't that save you any headaches from thinking they will scam you?

hmmm. I've never heard of Hiribi.
But it is kind of strange that you created an account just to talk about Hiribi since you don't have any other posts here.

@ Arcteryx.  Thanks for the advice.  I have never used Escrow before but If it is there on Bitify I guess it would be prudent to use it, cost is only 1% to the buyer I think.

It would be a considered a very useful thing to take on when dealing with anything to do with paypal and crypto trades as they do not allow it according to their TOS rules when sending out funds for purchasing from anyone using their service.
And you do have the option in bitify to either use their on site service of escrow held by them ot have it shut off. So spending that 1% of the entire transaction value is certainly up to you.

Don't surprised if you get scammed by this type of service offering you paypal exchange. And of course don't believe most of reviews you find about a service. Make your due dilligence and don't be naive, otherwise it will cost you some money to learn your lesson by the hard way.

It's not really a risk if you do buy a small amount at first to test.
I did go and look and they offer $10 for 11 in paypal to you to send btc to them so why not try for this amount to see if they actually do what they say they will do for you.

I have been working with hiribi for 3 years and I have no problems, it is true that they limit the accounts but it is to find a way to avoid the limitations and it is the best business in the world!
