Title: Should I invest more?
Post by: mskryxz on April 24, 2013, 04:02:40 PM
I bought in at $66 per Bitcoin.

I do not plan to sell and want to continue holding it and believe it will go at least over $400 by the end of the year but thats a different topic for now.

I have 5 computers running now mining a little over 3000 hashes per second for litecoins generating $700+ a month after electricity based on today's price of litecoin.

I still have up to $5,000 more to invest out of savings. My question is, do you guys think it is a good idea to invest more at current prices? I already invested a decent amount at $66 per bitcoin. But is it worth investing another $5,000 at $166 per bitcoin as of right now?

I don't know whether to just leave what I have invested already or to buy more mining rigs or to buy more coins? Or just see what happens with the investments I already have since im almost 300% up.

Personally I would not invest more into bitcoins right now. Mining I have not studied. I am locking in profits as we go up, and buying more coins as we go down.

At this price... I'd be EXTREMELY careful if I was you. Just make sure you're willing to lose.

You should read more about Bitcoin...

Nobody can tell you, where the price next year will be...finally you must make your own decision and be prepared to lose everything... ;D

dont listen to gordonium if you dont want to be broke

a good investment is buying into apple, google, Facebook, when its early

NOT

something like bitcoin, which is plagued with risks, government, digital infra structure, etc

its a good investment if you got in early, however to be called the best investment in history is a BIG overstatement

What if Bitcoin is the next Apple, Google or Facebook? Or something ever bigger? Never considered that?

Instead of investing, convert dollars to bitcoins.

If you fully understand what is bitcoin and how it works and you trust in its concept, you should buy.
If you are not sure, don't buy it.

I think this is a good bet for you, if you want to throw in more money into the bitcoin world but are afraid of buying in on a high.
This stock has a way of going Up when bitcoin is down, and down when bitcoin is up... all the while gaining value.

something to look at...

I'd wait about a month, then start dollar cost averaging in. Say $500 per month.

Agreed, chances are high sdice will perform better than bitcoins the coming half year/year, just like it did the last half year of 2012.

The inverse was true the past months. Bitcoin gave much better returns than sidce. Likely will shift again as bitcoins goes sideways or down, while sdice continues to grow it's earnings/dividend.
