Back in January 2016, Myriad had an ATL market cap of $25,000 and each coin was worth 6 sats. Now its market cap is $750,000 and each coin is worth 40 sats. Vertcoin is another example. In mid-2015, it had a market cap of $100,000 and each coin was worth 2,500 sats. Now its market cap is $3.5 million and each coin is worth 9,000 sats.

Probably the most famous example these days is PIVX.

Coins such as these tend to escape the attention of most people. When a coin goes from a $20 million market cap to a $200 million one, it's a big deal. But when a coin goes from a $100,000 market cap to a $1 million one, very few people will take notice. And that's despite the fact that the return on investment is identical for both.

More importantly, it's far easier to bring up a coin's market cap from $100,000 to $1 million than it is to bring up a coin's market cap from $100 million to $1 billion since the former requires a far smaller injection of money. Lots of coins with market caps in the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars have increased in value by 10 or 20 times that of BTC. Very few coins with market caps already in the hundreds of millions of dollars have done the same (Ethereum might be the only one so far).

So, anyway. That's probably enough rambling from me. What are some of the more promising very low market cap altcoins out there?

EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm not saying that Myriad, Vertcoin, and PIVX are currently promising altcoins with low market caps. But only that they were so in the past. I have no idea what these coins will do in the future.

spreadcoin is one of these coins, lbry is another one, both are really undervalued, on lbry there is currently a pump going on, maybe you can catch the train if you jump now, for spreadcoin they ae planning a swap with another coin that is not yet released, i don't know any other small coin with greater potential for now

XVG is a nice and promising coin  ;D

I think we are in a very bullish period of time and because of that there are so many overvalued shitcoins, all that makes really difficult to find some really undervalued coins. Comparing this time with one year ago, you can see clearly how shitcoins and promising coins have pumped altogether that makes them really difficult to distinguish.

Finally someone who understands when and how to invest.
Investing when low is chance for 100x or even 1000x but its very risky.

I am all in on Viacoin. Great dev, low marketcap and most important, low supply. It is not a P & D though, so holders are quiet on it.

SYS sounds so promising, but its been nothing but a ho hum, when will it move ride for me so far.

Shift - Ethereum-turned-into-Lisk fork, implementing IPFS (decentralized file storage) and trying to be a pioneer in decentralized websites. Javascript (from Lisk) + decentralized web is a good combination, especially nowadays since Javascript webapps and frameworks are hot. It would allow traditional web developers to easily create their own decentralized webapps and websites. The team is moderately sized (about 6 people) but are quite active. They already have an IPFS alpha on the testnet and will probably launch in the next couple of months. Lisk is also working on implementing IPFS but it seems like Shift is ahead.

If you look at the market charts, Shift was a sleeper coin for a while but in the last few weeks, it started to wake up. Arguably the market cap may not be extremely low by your definition but I think it's low enough at < $2 million.

So the only good thing going for it is a dev team?

Incent. They are working for generating real worth. In the ann they dont want to push it with ceap tricks, they know the time will come. So this is my impression.

I am curious in victorious coin development this year. Now the price is in just 1 sathosi, that we sure no way to drop anymore. Lol. The one that surely can happen is the price will rise up following their roadmap to 8 sathosi.
Well I know people don't pay attention in shitcoin, but I believe vty will have future.

wow that would be x8 if ever you have some coins its better to be more updated from their project and the progress coming from the
devs work, its better to have some investment like this so when the price really jump high you will be able to gain big profits.

Sure, that is what I mean. Now the Developer team is working more developments to this coin growing ecosystem, they burned half of coin sale with 50% buy back. And of course if coin supply reduced,  the price will rise up.
