Gox switched to Dwolla and CampBX; tells story to financial or technology oriented friends and family to get their feedback

  • Satoshie: mysterious group with unknown agenda
  • early adaptors those who got the first coin for less than $1: the heart and soul of bitcoin
  • ponzi pushers those who got the coin for single figure $: the bitcoin nazis, anything the come across and dont like they sent the gestapo  (for obvious reason)
  • the cool bitcoiner: paid double figures for his coins. no real use for the coin just to impress his mates, not really the same effect than a spyphone as hard to show off on regular base.
  • silk road user: having a hard time lately with the coin all over the place
  • professional bitcoin trader: could not care less about what he trades (coffee, rice, bitcoin..) only interested in making as much dosh as possible
  • amateur bitcoin trader: like in any futures market easy pray for the professionals
  • hoarder: is plan-less, no exit strategy. common terms used (take it all the way baby, in it to the end....) generally gambling terms
  • cashcow participant: could not care less about the concept, just mines way way below (almost free) the a fast majority of miners and sells regularly at the price offered on the day to have easy living financed
  • money transfer bitcoiner: scares the living daylight out of western union and co
  • currency bitcoiner: he buys money to pay for something.  hang on, come again
  • girly bitcoiner: apparently those fabled beings to exist
  • dreamer: thinks he can buy a country with a single bitcoin in the future

This is awesome

Does a merchant that uses a payment processor to convert revenues to fiat fit in there?

e.g., pass-through bitcoiner?

yes off course, so do a lot of other things

  • suicidal bitcoiner: takes out a student loan to stock up on bitcoins
  • pass-through bitcoiner: happy as larry
