Title: Going Escrow Rate?
Post by: Philb on April 25, 2013, 02:32:10 AM
I am doing a little research for a new project and was wondering what you think are reasonable escrow fees.  Also, do most people normally take the fee out of the sellers cash payment (ie sold for 1500$ and only receive 1475$) or the buyers total amount (ie bought 10btc and only receives 9.8).

Thanks for all your help!

Someone is charging 1.5% to 2% on transactions below 5000 BTC. I'm thinking of offering 1% for larger ones. And then there are the "free" ones which you just donate or tip later.

This true. I do escrow myself, and I normally go the tipping route for below 50BTC tx's, and a 1.5-2.5% depending on the complexity for above 50BTC.
