Title: USD Value Based Coins
Post by: BTC Turkiye on April 15, 2017, 04:16:12 AM
Does anyone know any coin that has (and always will be) the same value as USD?
I`m talking about a coin that will never lose its value and will always stay as the same with USD. So 1 USD will always be 1 Xcoin

So just like USDT (Tether) but so far I~m very disappointed with them. It`s been more than a week and they haven`t even verified my account or responded my support tickets. So I`m looking for a coin that is similar (but better) than Tether

You are trying to send your documents to Tether.to? I believe you could use it without sending anything If you are trading from Poloniex or another exchange unless of course you are trading huge volumes daily then you will need to provide details just like any other currency.

Problem is that if you trade USDT vs coin, they consider you to trade fiat vs coin, and thus (depending on the exchange and what country you're from) an exchange can force you to verify yourself regardless of the amount you trade.

OP ~ It would be easier if you provide more information as that will allow people to understand your situation, and thus eventually offer you a better form of help. Right now people can only guess.

Other than that, USDT is unique in its entirety, and thus the only alternative form of fiat that certain exchanges and services support.

A coin that "will always" and "never lose its value" hasn't been invented yet and certainly will not.
Tether coin is just a coin with a company behind it that claims it has 16 million dollars in the bank and no matter what they will buy back your coins. (short story)

Guarantee? 0.

No there are not any truely decentralized alt that have fix value in terms of USD because nobody can back a decentralized coin.

USDT is not a true cryptocurrency because;
1. They are premined
2. It is centralized
3. There is third party involved in transactions (The company backing this coin).
4. They are just like paypal with lots of restriction and you can't have full control over your USDT address.

My amounts are big also I don`t want to get stuck on a limit so I usually try to get my accounts verified right away.

that`s a pretty good explanation actually. I agree with you.

Tether is definitely unique in its own way. But that doesn`t make them any more trustworthy than other coins.

Anyways, I`m coming back to my initial question again.
Is there any other coin similar or same as Tether?
From your answers I`m guessing no. But just want to make sure again.

only USDT is flat rate with USD value
if all altcoin flat rate USD i think crypto curency can't develop, and many people not use crytp curency, until now much coin, because price is fluctuative can get return, if all cryotocurency flat rate, i think only bitcoin can still exist another coin can die

You should be avoided to use tether platfom, it's too risky. You'll be able to use it through the exchange site such as Polo which quite easier rather than his platform.

There is no another similar coin with tether, EURT is a part of fiat token that EURT has made by tether itself.

Basically, tether is a platform based on the Fiat token.

There is nothing that back up USTether, and once people realize that it we could have 'poof' - and it's gone situation.
Many people believes that value of UST is lower by 3%-5% than standard USD too.
I would avoid using this platform or any other tethered asset based on fiat currency.

Interesting discussion about how Tether dollar USDT can crash the Bitcoin market.

Unfortunately there's no other coin which is as stable as USDT and can actually be traded on most exchanges.

USDT are annoying in that they're regulated by a third party (them) and so they're not a real crypto in any conventional sense.

Your best bet is to try cryptocurrencies that are stable without being tied to the value of a specific asset.  I think the currency Xaurum is claiming to be backed up by gold - not sure if it's true but their value has been stable or going up for a while.  You could also always find a non-scammy shitcoin with very little trading volume and maybe its price will stay pretty stable low down.
