Title: Selling Mining Rig with 2x 5850's for BTC
Post by: rickrollin on June 18, 2011, 03:33:37 AM
Selling my gently used (not even a month) mining rig. All parts were purchased new through tiger direct and newegg. Everything is set up and ready to mine, just turn it on - enter your settings and click mine!

I will entertain btc offers I'm thinking in the ball park of 60BTC shipping included.

AMD Phenom II X2 555 3.2Ghz Black Edition AM3 CPU
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit DVD OEM
Hitachi 500GB Serial ATA HD 7200/16MB/SATA-3G
MSI 870-G45 AMD 870 Socket AM3 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 1GB DDR3 PC10600 1333MHz
ULTRA LSX 750W PSU
Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid-Tower Computer Case
2X ASUS EAH5850 DIRECTCU w/ Voltage Tweak
2X Dummy Plug
6x case fans already installed for good airflow

My rig is set up to have perfect airflow, in fact its running a whopping 20 degrees cooler than my older lian li case that at the time of purchase I thought was UBER. You can overlock both cards if you feel like it.

Please don't be shy and pm me with any questions you might have.

Thanks!

That's because we own identical rigs...

Now, do you have any legit questions or are you here to troll?

Why did you only change 2x dummy plugs to 1x, and 4x case fans to 6?

LOL
I'm guessing that the picture is scraped off the internet. if you want us to really believe the rig is yours, put a piece of paper iwth your name on it beside your rig.

Because my PC has 6 fans not 4... and I made 2 plugs just as you can see from my pics.

You are a tard. He didnt change it to 6, I said I added 4 additional fans but the case comes WITH 2. Making a total of 6.

He has the same system because I helped him and sent the links to what I bought.

So you join the forum 2 days ago on June 17th, give him advice on which rig to buy,
he recieves & builds his rig in 2 days, decides to sell it instantly at the same time you do on June 19th.

And you both post about 15 minutes apart every time & both make a selling thread with identical systems within ½ an hour.

How stupid do you think people are?

Lol, we've been mining for much longer than 2 days... This PC is about a month old, I bought the same components as the other guy a while back. Go to my blog and scroll down to the post where I talk about my new mining rigs and check the hardware = all same. Post made 3 weeks ago. I have all the photo proof, part numbers and order dates if any SERIOUS buyer wants to check it out. Everything is almost brand new, not a scratch anywhere. I did mod the HDD bay for better airflow and you can see it being gone in the 2nd set of the pictures I posted (moved to the top where there are no fans).

I showed you proof that the pc is mine didn't I? I'm being very transparent and open about everything, not sure why you gotta come into my thread and troll around like you're trying to prove some scam. What more proof do you need?

Stop being fken rude, I don't know what you've got to gain here by flaming my thread with idiotic comments. There is no scheme or "plan", I'm just selling my mining rig as described in the top post. Period.

Would you sell the two 5850's individually?

They probably know each other from elsewhere, I discuss hardware with miners I know in real life and we help each other buy hardware all the time so it's not implausible that they just know each other from elsewhere.  Lots of other forums have people discussing bitcoins and building computers, even the bodybuilding.com forums has a thread with people helping each other out on hardware choices.

Sorry I'm trying to sell the entire thing. I'm not super desperate to sell cards individually but I WOULD like to get one of these PC's out of site from my living room :)

Would you maybe be interested in some sort of part exchange for my macbook pro I'm selling in another thread here.

Could you maybe show me some sort of e-bay id confirmation as I am doing as well as it may get rid of a few troll posts.
You can message me on there and I'll reply back so we know who each other are.

I'm not interested in exchanges and my ebay user is too new since I have long lost the login to my original ID and can't seem to recover it.

Use caution on this trade. Require ClearCoin.

Cogent also spent extensive time on proving how he is legit and how he's not "rickrollin".

Turns out he scammed AmpEater out of the price of two 5850's that never arrived.

If I were AmpEater I'd arrange local pickup for these "two rigs with 5850's" and ask if he knows anything about his "friend".

Because you owe him "rick". And there is no "friend". It's just you under multiple aliases.

Or even better, send the guy his 5850's he paid you for, without making excuses about how you know nothing about your "friend" who has suddenly disappeared from the face of Earth.

I have bought 2 cards from that individual however I am not him. I have no aliases and I wish people would just stop trolling my thread. I'll gladly use clearcoin, but from what I've read on their homepage they're not accepting new trades? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The parts in my PC are original, I have all receipts for serious buyers with part numbers and dates of purchase so you can stop the crap about fakes.

I don't mind for local pickups either if you're nearby and want to pick it up that's fine.

Any more bs from you trolls? Can't wait to see what you'll come up with next ...

I'm already accepting local pickup. Read the thread before you troll. I haven't sold any 5850's to anyone. I only speak for myself here if you have some beef with someone else that doesn't concern me.

No thanks. I've had 2 offers for more than that for 2 video cards alone. I paid over $800 for this computer and the term "used" doesn't apply in the same sense of a used car here...
Anyone else wanna get closer to my initial asking before I sell the cards separately?
