KnCMiner product information After launching our website just a few weeks ago we have had an overwhelming response. This has been highly valuable in many ways and we encourage you to continue to give us as much feedback as you already have been doing. Today we are presenting more technical information about our products and services, which we will be offering from now until the start of the autumn. One of the key issues that has come out of the last few days is the issue of trust. We are fully aware that trust must be earned and this is why we are providing you with as much information as we can. Allowing you to make an informed decision about any future purchases. We are announcing two devices today, Mars and Jupiter. We understand that the Mars product is not ground breaking but we are launching it to show our work so it can be publicly validated by as many people as possible. Our new Jupiter product is groundbreaking and we are sure you will soon agree contains some impressive specifications. The main focus of the information we have available today will be around the following: Our first mining product which is a 6 GH/s device called Mars Our second mining product hashing at a minimum of 250 GH/s called Jupiter. Mars This device will be the first mass produced product and is available for purchase in the next few days. The key details around this device are as follows: Over 6GH/s 48x IC CYCLONE IV FPGA 115K on board chips See the sites below for more details on the chips we will be using in our Mars product. 30% Improvement in hashing rate over standard Implementation Fan cooled with 48 heat sync’s and fans plus two case fans producing a cooling tunnel across the chips Modular design (we will carry this design throughout all of our products) USB attachment (software will be provided) Shipment begins on mass in just over 2 months. Earn coins while you are waiting in the queue for Jupiter External ATX power will be required (we will provide a recommended list) Upgrade protection built in to any Mars purchase with vouchers for up to $2000 off of any Jupiter purchase. Last but not least, any purchase of the Mars product automatically reserves you the same place in the order queue for the Jupiter product. The queue reservation will last 30 days. An additional gain of 30% more hashing when the advanced algorithms provided by ORSoC are applied. Water cooled setup. Modular Design allowing for expansion at a later date. Embedded Linux device to allow for standalone mining. Shipment begins in early autumn. Previously registered customers The customers who have previously registered interest in our products will be given the opportunity to complete their orders for either Mars or Jupiter. I contacted them the day of the announcement and they assured we they would take no pre-order money before showing definitive proof of this product. Its loud and clear that their first will be a FPGA :PAnd why does their 250GH/s miner need to be water cooled? I thought ASIC chips were cool to begin with? I kinda like the water cooling also. I dont think that that they are "cool" to begin with, maybe in comparence to GPU´s and CPU´s. This company KNC seems really good so far actually, they haven't taken any preorder money or given any false hopes so far. How sure you are, that you can keep your shipping dates ? A great statement would be to schedule a shipping date and for every day you're too late donate 1 BTC to the bitcoin foundation. Is it an Altera HardCopy made from the Cyclone design? Or is it an eASIC FPGA? Or is it a structured ASIC from a different vendor? Or is at a MOSIS fabbed design? Why don't they let us have the Mars for $795? Why need our upfront money to finance your 250gh/s project, just don't make sense. I hope the noob think twice before making any decision. If Butterfy 5gh/s sell at $274, you should be able to match that price. Seems like some of the members here are really supporting their country man. Put it this way, sell your 6gh/s now at $275 and when the time come I will pay $7k for the Jupiter !! They are giving you a $2000USD trade in on a Jupiter so I'm guessing it isn't around the $275 for a jalapeno. Still $7000 for a Jupiter *when they start shipping* is a good deal. However when they start shipping will the price go up like avalon and BFL? Do they have test boards for the Mars? Photos? Videos? Publicly known test account Do they know the specs of their chips?? Avalon listen to the members here that is why there are so successful. Maybe their mentality is different. They are OUT of the game. We wasted our quality time on them. Keep changing their specs from the previous model is not good. Clearly means they cannot come out with a ASIC Product on time. Before the changes $2,955 for 50gh/s to Mars $2,795 for 6gh/s?? NO one will used FPGA unless it can match ASIC pricing. FPGA is dead because it is very expensive.
