As for the title of this thread, Bitcoin is a "trustless" currency. No trust is needed.

And be careful with using Coinbase if you plan on using your bitcoin for any type of gambling - i.e. sending or receiving from gambling sites, as I believe doing so is a violation of their terms of service. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

both are terrible advice.
blockchain.info is a web wallet meaning it is unsafe since you will be online and it can be hacked either by hacker or with a simple keylogger on your computer.
and coinbase is not a bitcoin wallet it is a bitcoin account.

read the sticky in beginners section and if you have any questions, ask there

For me yes bitcoin is successful and the trusted virtual leading currency in the World what you need to worry
Is the user's on the bitcoin, user's they may not be trusted in using the bitcoin and bitcoin is anonymous so can be use illegally in many transantions. We all know that bitcoin already gain the trust in many bitcoin user's but when come in  the security it depend on your bitcoin wallet.

:D :D the title. could it be you want to ask two questions
for bitcoin is trusted because although bitcoin is digital but bitcoin having the same function may even exceed fiat and strong security that we can set its own.
I use coinbase, xapo, blockchain and some in the exchanger fiat.

I was also wondering the same after i clicked thread. Next time don't mislead the topic from your title OP, you can just ask directly what's the best or good wallet where you can store your BTC for savings, and to answer your title, its a big YES why? ...

its because most industries nowadays accept BTC as payment method or even online services. And why would you care to register for your wallet address if its not legit right? this would only waste your time if this is unreliable. agree?...

The title's question is too far from the thread itself :P. Anyways don't use any web wallet if you want safe place for your coins. I will recommend this site https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet and take your time to choose. Choose desktop category, and I suggest electrum as its lightweight and safier than any web wallet.

Answer to the title: Bitcoin is more promising than any other crypto-currency.

Answer to the post: You should try out BlockChain.info or paper wallet. Both are good options.

bitcoin is trusted crypto currency but some peoples use it to do scam activities, for wallet you can choose wallet which only you can access it not on third party like coinbase, xapo or any exchange because they handle all your bitcoin and can run your money anytime but so far coinbase and xapo is legit but i dont know for next months or years

How can it be not trusted enough if there were several transaction were made using transaction? From buying merchandise, paying bills, loading up mobile phones, even online games already accepts bitcoins so I can say that it had gain a desirable trust from several people worldwide. Only those scammers or fraud that makes it more complicated.

You can create account in many wallets and test all the services. This way you will choose that one you most liked to use. Each wallet has some different aspects and some people don't like one, but like other... The most common are Blockchain.info, CoinBase, Xapo, Hao BTC... I use Blockchain.info and I'm happy with their service. (All wallets I listed are online, there are the offline wallets also).

Haha, I thought this is all about the trust issue to bitcoin but you are asking a very far question from what your title says.

If you want to know if bitcoin is trusted, yes it is trusted for all it's users and for those that doesn't have enough knowledge on it, they will say it's not.

And if you want to create a wallet, you can suggest one of the popular wallet which is blockchain.info

Just put it on the url address of your browser and you are good to go.

A popular misconception ciculating among bitcoin newbies is that you need some sort of online bitcoin account, to use it.
No you don't have to do this, all you need is a wallet. The best wallets are software wallets, not online 'accounts'.
With software wallet i.e. Electrum, Multibit HD your coins will be owned truly by you, not by some online wallet service provider.

Bitcoin =/= Blockchain.info, Coinbase or any other web wallet.

Bitcoin itself is a trusted currency. In fact, it is the most trusted currency because it's like a God for all the Altcoins. Bitcoin began all this Crypto trend..

But web wallets.. I'd say no. Web wallets are managed by human beings just like us, and it takes just one man to decide to scam all of us and they can do it. It doesn't matter if it says on their website that the data is never stored and so on, it can be just a fake thing and the data could all be stored on the servers. This would lead to Bitcoin's fall to the 2015 levels though, and hopefully nobody wants that to happen.

I would rather have a clean PC with Bitcoin Qt on it and download all the blockchain or paper wallets rather than always having the risk of being scammed... Be wise, don't go for the newest web wallets, or even desktop ones. Stay with the old, known ones and you should be fine.. but for big sums, stay away from servers and services managed by people. In other words.. don't let others manage your money.

Yes, Bitcoin is a trusted currency.

As for the wallet, Electrum wallet is the one of the best wallet out there. It is built for speed and convenience. A streamlined design and rich feature set make this wallet a popular choice for beginners like me and advance users. And its easy to install, it even calculates a default transaction fee so you don't have to worry about setting it yourself.

Well, if you believe your computer is virus free and you have good web security standards (Not going to sketchy sites, not clicking on links, etc), then use a wallet like Electrum. Otherwise, you have to have faith in another company and use a wallet like Greenaddress or BitGo. These two are the best free wallets.

Well, you've already got a lot of good advices and I can confirm that Electrum is a very good wallet. And if you want a web wallet then you'll have to try them by yourself: they have different features, limits and fees so you try and choose what is good for you.

if you are looking for a wallet you will want to use for your daily needs, i would suggest Blockchain.info which is simple to use... though their other web wallets out there that pay your transaction fees but the only draw back is you can not sign a message.

Then if you intend to keep funds in the wallet for a long period of time  a desktop wallet would be the best option just remember to store your pvt key safe and guarded

It is better for you to install your own wallet in your own computer or smartphone, since you need to be the sole possessor of the private keys of your bitcoin.

bitcoin currency can be trusted because there are so many who are interested in this currency and we see that those who are earning this money are already buying those who like it, if bitcoin is not a trusted currency even if one never trying to earn this currency if it is known they have not been trusted useless anyway.

you ask what good wallet for your bitcoin? I suggest you use  coinbase wallet, blockchain wallet, XAPO wallet..thats all.
