Title: WTS: Lancelot FPGA
Post by: blackarrow on April 25, 2013, 06:24:05 PM
Our company has started producing Lancelot miners.

Our company web address is: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com (http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com)
You can purchase them from our reseller: http://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/lancelot.html (http://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/lancelot.html)

Lancelot used to sell for $500 but it is no longer in production by the original company.
We are selling it from $350 to $220, depending on the quantity.

We accept Bitcoins, Western Union, Bank Transfer and Cash.
Yes, you can pick them up from our office in Shenzhen if you wish. If you are serious in building a huge rig, picking them up might be a very good idea.

With the increasing price of the Avalon ASIC, FPGA are profitable again.

Bought in large quantities these boards can reach as low as $0.65/megahash. This means that you can build the same power as an Avalon Asic box with around $40000. If you're serious in building big rigs, we might be able to lower this a little bit.

ROI: 100% in 2-3 months !!!

Availablity: We have currently in stock 4 devices, and will have 110 in 2 weeks. Depending on the sales until then we aim to manufacture as many as needed to supply everything from stock and to ensure that there is no backorder.

420$ including shipping...hmm...bit expensive atm for me :) if you were to offer some discount code for being your first customer on this forum, i'm sure we could make it work :)

We can try to save something on the shipping if we send with EMS (7-10 working days) but you're probably better off hashing these days...

Please note that we have them in production at the moment and they won't be available for shipping until next week or week 6-10 May.

We're shipping with DHL. 70USD is an excellent price for this service.
If you want post office, then it will be cheaper.

I think it says you need to buy one separately. I forgot to order some as well.

Adding this to this thread as well... Gauging interest in putting together a US based group purchase to reduce the price of the units.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187549.msg1957223#msg1957223

Continuing this with potential interest. I may have to adjust my initial interest of ten units down depending on how long they would take to arrive, but let's get an estimate. This would be a US based group purchase, but I'm guessing if we get to 100 units adding the price of shipping from the US to another country may still be cheaper than ordering them yourself.

Beaflag VonRathburg = 10 Units
detail3                      = 06 Units
continue.... 84 to go

Yes, I'd like to know that too. If I buy one is it easy to use it for mining or some setup is needed?

Can anyone recommend a good power supply to use for a 10+ board setup?

Would something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817190028 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817190028) work for a 10-20 board setup?

Found the answer in other topics. It looks like it should work as long as you hook it up to https://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/atx-to-lancelot-power-adapter.html (https://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/atx-to-lancelot-power-adapter.html).

What's your shipping to Tokyo?

Our website will charge a flat rate of $70 worldwide. However, we will try to reduce the shipping based on the weight, destination and requested shipping method. We do not overcharge so you can be confident that you get a decent shipping price.

I do not know by heart the shipping charge to Tokyo. Please ask this question by replying to your order confirmation email.

The power supply says it can power up to 4 devices, but I only see one 12V connector on it.  Is there something that's not pictured that will allow you to use one power supply to power 4 devices?  Thanks.

Please PM me when you have stock.

We will not be able to do that as it is quite difficult to track everybody.

Place place the order online. At the moment devices are not in stock and your order will be set to "backorder". Please do not pay your order until we email you that the devices are in stock. We expect to be able to ship them next week (6-10 May).

We will supply a splitter with the power supply. We're looking into it right now.

Perfect, thank you!  I placed my order for some devices and wanted to ensure I can get them all up and running once I receive the package.

I just put in an order for 4, and one power supply. I am new to mining and all of this, so I am hoping these are easy to set up and I don't have to know Linux?  :)

Any ETA on delivery/when i should pay?

Thanks!

I have posted in the thread Beaflag linked with a commitment.

My interest in posting here is to get the interest in a group buy via Beaflag up to the minimum of 100 so that us USA buyers can benefit from the 100 unit discount and, probably, some bulk shipping savings by going through Beaflag and then re-shipping to the sub-purchasers.

Hi, I bought some of your Lancelot's, but I didn't receive any CD as it was written on your web.  On one board is shining red LED (HOT?) all the time. Fan is working, board is cold, it computes. Why is it shining? Is available any manual or so? Where I can read about LEDs, IO's, switches .. etc. ? Is there any description of board? Thx for answer.

I wish you luck, but I believe that it is a poor choice to continue in this endeavor due to their escrow policy.

Hi!

I wouldn't worry about the led unless it is bothering you.

We have an assembly manual but nothing more. The board was developed by ngzhang. Please find more details here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=79835.0;all

If you wish to develop FPGA code with it, visit Xilinx's Spartan 6 product page.

I have the same red LED light on two of my boards and they are hashing fine for the past two weeks. IMO I don't think it is a problem. You could possibly reset it if you updated the firmware, but that could be more effort than it is worth unless you already have the necessary cable.

The CD/driver files are available here http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm).

Sorry about that. It was a mistake on the website which has been corrected. There is no CD shipped with Lancelot because there's no need to.

Download the user manual from here: http://www.cardreaderfactory.com/download/documentation/lancelot%20user%20manual.pdf (http://www.cardreaderfactory.com/download/documentation/lancelot%20user%20manual.pdf)
