These are sites that have cropped up overnight, and are potential scam sites. There are no credible resources at the time of posting to confirm the sites as Legit. Title: Re: More Possible ASIC scam Sites Post by: Sc@rF@c3 on May 08, 2013, 08:54:32 PM I noticed that the
http://terrahash.com/ site was showing pictures of Avalon products. Avalon have stated that they do not have any resellers... Title: Re: More Possible ASIC scam Sites Post by: paulin on May 09, 2013, 02:55:04 AM cedartec look like they are making an efford.
I suspect that they are just using Avalon chips. ("10 000 chips" same quantity as an Chip batch from avalon) Title: Re: More Possible ASIC scam Sites Post by: Surprise on May 09, 2013, 03:00:35 AM Anyone know if picostocks or the 100TH/s mine is legit or run by reputable people?
Title: Re: More Possible ASIC scam Sites Post by: nuggium on May 09, 2013, 03:36:58 AM I think terrahash is buying avalon chips and mounting them on their own pcb boards and selling them. They haven't shipped anything, so could be a scammer.
Title: Re: More Possible ASIC scam Sites Post by: Sc@rF@c3 on May 09, 2013, 09:21:39 AM The scary thing that I see is the lack of pre-launch forum discussion on this forum before a website and sales shop launches.
I would expect to be able to find something on this forum to build up interest and credibility This is why I have listed these pop up sites. Title: Re: More Possible ASIC scam Sites Post by: Sc@rF@c3 on May 11, 2013, 11:01:37 AM This site seems to be getting a lot of press, maybe it's a credible site

I see my Terrahash post is 30 minutes ahead of their opening post (May 07, 2013) Title: Re: More Possible ASIC scam Sites Post by: MinerFlic on July 14, 2025, 05:34:38 PM Be careful, if you want to buy from sites, do not accept to buy using crypto transfer! Use regular cc with regular banks, so at least you can have some traces of your money. a few days ago I had problems with www.UsedAsicMiners.com. In fact, there are tree sites (www.AsicMinersEurope.com and www.BtcAsic.com, operated by the same guy. They send fake parcels with fake tracking numbers. When I was asking a refund they blocked me.
