Title: Opinion about my holdings.
Post by: steamon on April 20, 2017, 11:16:09 PM
Hey guys. I have not been on this forum for a while after making a few mistakes here and there with bitcoins. I decided to long term hold 2,8 bitcoin. Oktober I invested into strat coin and turned 50$ into 700$ fantastic I thought. XRP 50$ into 230$. This made me very interesting into investing more into alt coins. So I spreaded some funds.

So I now did the following

BTC: 2,80
Gulden: 5000 Dutch coin what else to say :)
ETC: 35,87
SJCX: 184 I share cloud storage with them so that will increase.
STRAT: 300
XRP: 1000
DGB: 5000 I liked the gaming part of this I contacted them if they have solid plans for updating this.
TaaS: 200

Possible investment candidates? burstcoin I see future into cloud storage solutions. PIVX hear a lot from community's this might rise. More guldens from the dutch people I hear a lot from this. Litecoin.

My questions?

What do you guys think about my current investments?

Put a part off bitcoin into Ethereum? I also heard bitcoin might get hard forked in the near future.

Now I know everyone opinion will by different here and I am basically sharing my portfolio. But I am still curious of course no one can predict by 100% what the next big boom will be. Let's by honest with stratis I expected 100 120$ not 700$. Bitcoin is rising slowly yes and I am a believer in 30k to even 100k+ a bitcoin.

Also important this are long term investments prefer not touching them for a long while unless I really need money from this source. I do use a app to track those investments and give me a warning if a certain threshold is reached so if boom happens I know about it. :)

Thanks.

But i will not suggest you hold DGB.

I might get hardforked if the bitcoin unlimited has being a winner on the block votes. If you can buy some ethereum on the big dips and why not? Although bitcoin as a mother of crypto.

My guess over $30k for each bitcoin it's not rational in my mind. However, if all of the people around the world will be using bitcoin in the future and this will make a little part (i mean every satoshi of bitcoin will be valuable)

Dump everything else except bitcoin and buy litecoin. I speculate segwit will be activated in 3 months and from there we will not see litecoin at these prices again. The future of the cryptospace is in smart contracts and having that component on litecoin depends on the activation of segwit. It is risky, yes but do not forget the miners signalling segwit is at 65% - 75%.

I believe you're at the right track. You chose good altcoins and have good potential altcoin in the market. Patience is the key for success. Keep that in mind. I bought XRP and would like to hold it as a long term investment. Goodluck with your alts.

You've got some good coins there in your bags mate, if you are also looking for suggestions I'd say increase the holdings of Stratis and Ripple, as they are quite low so the timing is perfect to buy. So the returns will be maximum.

Thanks for most replys and gave me some new insides to.

Plan A:

Remove 0.30 bitcoin and buy

10 litecoin while i must admit this is the silver off bitcoin but it has a lot of growth potential.
3000 XRP
150 stratis
burst for 80 usd just to bet on both cloud storage wagons.
30 pivx while I see it moving down currently so I will watch this closely before I decide to step in.

Plan B:

Remove 0.50 and buy ethereum my problem with that is Ethereum is pretty high atm can see a small dip and maybe rise up afterwards. To 10 x my investment on that Ethereum must become worth 400$+.  I am thinking off just expanding ethereum classic for a bit with plan A.

Plan C:

Buy more lite and enthereum classic. Like focusing on lot off % in return off investment over the years so more money to stable coins.

Was not really planning to follow it daily I mean bitcoins is the future but also have a real life to take care off then watching numbers all day. :P

------------------------------------------------------------

What I think about the coins called in this topic?

DGB: Lets by honest they are kinda lazy with this and expected more currently I don't feel its right to buy more coins I am not looking to pumps but to coins that offer something to make them useful.

Monero: It looks nice but price is on the higher side so getting a lot off % back I am a little bit late for that.

zCash: I personal never liked this coin but it seems to stable rising up again. But the price to high for % a lot. Like if I was planning to put more personal money into crypto I would have bought other coins to yes.

Stratis: Even that I moved assets out first it looks kinda stable so I might add some more yes.

Ripple: Like the coin lowered a little bit after moving coins out so I think its time to rebuy some.

SaaT: Interesting coin that I decided to step in with a little bit.

Gulden: I don't really know the max growth potential but sources from some gurus told me that I should hold this coin and nice things will happen.

Real life:

Investing 3000 in a project where I get 4800 back. Maybe I could invest some money off that into coins to we will see how the time goes.

This reply might by a little bit rushed cause I need to go for a bit. Curious what people further will say.

You have a nice solid group of coins there already.

Some good ones to include:

Ethereum
NEM
Litecoin
Lisk

I'm not suggesting you to buy them immediately, but pay attention to them and step in when they dip again.

I recommend Ardor now. And probably sell it in 4-5months.

Nice group of coins there, I got rid of my NEM a bit too early but thinking I might get back in it might be worth you checking out.

WBB is a bit of a longshot but I am holding this for a long time, not much info on bitcointalk they prefer Slack and once they release their new platform if it works as outlined it could be big but this is a gamble.

Nice result, But it seems you do not know more about some of your portfolios. I guess it will be good if you try to consider invest on RLC. You can see the result of his ico. They're having a solid team.
I will try to erase gulden and DGB from my portfolio and put RLC while the price of a token is really cheap.

Basically, your main subject must on the team development. The project with a decent roadmap and a good progress will be worthed to be your portofolio.

keep only bitcoin of course this is the king, ethereum and maybe stratis, the other are garbade, you are holding coins that have high instability and can make you lose money, now add ark, spreadcoin, and lbry and perhaps some zcash

I think you made a good choice. Maybe adding waves could be better for long-term.
But dont spread to much, if you have a piece of everything, then its better to invest in bitcoin itself.

sell Storj and buy Sia, Storj is centralized

Storage isn't centralized...Farming storage for SIA, good luck on your ROI.

Whatever works for you I guess, buying wise I'd target low cap coins especially if you're btc balance is really small.

Ripple is already expensive!
Look the supply number, it is high for a reason: decrease volatility in transactions. Its devs didn't create this coin for speculation.

I would add some ARKs and XEM.
Dont know much TaaS. The rest looks solid.

Taas coin is new altcoin and this now still run ico selling
this now TAAS in ico selling reach 4200 bitcoin, about information Taas coin you can read in here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1775766.0

to op i think hold 2.8 bitcoin is not good, you can selling because bitcoin price this now high price, or holding only one bitcoin

It's not about speculation or supply number. Ripple has bigger plans than any other coin (with Banks), and is a centralized currency. This will bring it up to a huge price because it's possible that it will be the global currency. Ripple is still cheap, and we'll see real results by the next year..

I would go for LTC. Big plans, big potential and also the only currency that feels safe to hold except Bitcoin.

i mostly disagree with your Ripple investment decision since i smell a lot of dump in the future of it. simply because there is no reason for this coin which has been worth 700ish satoshi to be worth 2700+ satoshi.

also i agree with your ETH decision since i also smell a dump and it is overpriced right now. however i will keep an eye on two things: bitcoin price that if it continues going up i will stay far away from ETH but if it drops i will most probably invest in ETH to take profit from its pump. also i will keep a lookout on what they release, they may wait for a big dump first then release something new though. but when they do, they will follow it with a pump.

also PIVX that you mentioned is good but not at the moment apparently. it is dropping but there is good resistance. i will look for a bottom to get in.

and obviously Litecoin is the hot topic everyone talks about and that alone means rise :D
apart from that SegWit is coming and Chicken is going to the moon, in $50-$100 territory.

I made my investments and must also by honest betting on to many horses at the same time. If 1 blows and make good money you still make limited money if you spread investments to much.

Also I notice something weird happening. I have followed coins from time to time then not check for like a few months. Today everyone is investing into crypto and I see it increasing heavily in just 3 days the investments I have out. Again I am not really looking to short term. Like big drops I can always sell some assets.

I wanted to spread my investments and that's what I did.

2.10 btc - I don't really wanna go lower then this I like this number. I am a bitcoin believer.
10 ETH - It's doing well might go down a little and then up again.
25,77 LTC - Has plans and segwit coming.
350 STRAT - Not really done much research but it made me so much profit I can't sell all.
45,87 ETC - Hoping for a higher price in the future.
4035 XRP - Big plans took like 4000 out earlyer after profits.
2500 NLG - I am dutch and like this coin. I heard rumors of this going 1$ each 1 day.
184 SJCX - Cloud storage is the future and I am sharing like 4 TB with them so earning more SJCX over time and holding them. Maybe I buy more with their upcoming sell.
25000 Burst - Also a cloud storage sharing provider.
250 STEEM - I like the social media stuff that's why I invested a little bit.
25000 DGB - I like the coin and had some small contact with the developers. There is more in the pipeline so I am not planning to dump.
250 SaaT - The project looks promising it has some rumors going on but still holding them for longer term. But will watch the price closely when it hits the exchange.

Still interested in ARK and PIVX. But PIVX will go first to 90 cents or lower I think. No hurry with this but will watch it. Ardor also has grow potential. I don't really like the XEM solution but that's just personal.

I also still mine with a gtx 1070 some other tokens. I used suchflex in the past it was dynamic with the right coin to mine and was making good $ from it sad that startup had to go. Now its tickeling to get amd cards again :P But I game on my gtx 1070. :)

Try atleast hold your bitcoins for more bitcoin has a great opportunity to become more expensive by end of the month it will breach the wall price of
$1300 or maybe more and others try to dump them and stock all coins in one wallet then sell them all once it happens.
