I'm joining slush pool and I download the GUI miner recommended for beginners. I entered my info,pressed start and my dash rate per second was changing but nothing else was and there is nothing confirmed.

If you click on 'Console' in GUI Miner and read carefully, can you see anything logged about connection attempts? |
