Title: The WiC seems very unprofessional and dodgy.
Post by: Fatoshi on April 22, 2017, 12:47:25 PM

The idea of renting Wifi is kind of good, problem maybe that no-one anywhere near you actually has the coin and so its pointless but anyway.

I can see many people are interested in this ICO but honestly it just seems like in reality a poorly paid indian programmer and a guy with a bought username and a shitcoin clone.

But they hope for 1 million dollars for an idea. Thats all its seems to be to me, an idea.

Why don't I just do the same? Anyone want to help me?

What do you think?

Do you also want to earn money by selling the idea?)

Or do you want to make a normal product?

The fact that they want to create a special coin for this purpose should be red flag enough. You don't need a new coin for this, you just need an app that provides infrastructure. If you want to get paid, either make it donationware, or let a small percentage, that the user chooses, of the fees go to you.

You're absolutely correct--this application doesn't need its own altcoin, and the whole effing world doesn't need another altcoin.  You could easily use bitcoin or Dash or doge or ANY of the many shitcoins on the market to accomplish the task.  But we all know damn well that isn't going to stop the flood of these shits.  The smart thing to do is just ignore them.  In 5 years, their blockchains are going to be dead and this'll be a moot point.

I used to be a big believer in if a coin had a real world company/app whatever behind it then it was far more legit and had potential far more that any pure currency coin. This was my biggest lesson in crypto I had to learn and found most were the biggest scams around and were using the real world use to pump and push their shitcoin, getgems was one of the worst.
