they're busy guys. they don't have the time to find out how bitcoin works or how to make it better. they'll do what whoever's paying them the most tells them to do.

Its really a shame this Jihan guy has amassed so much power and influence over Bitcoin that he can single-handedly stop progress from happening.

Why are they a joke?  If they don't care about LTC, then why should they oppose others doing what they want on LTC?

He was posting completely nonsense and when he understood that was do it publicly he deleted it the tweet but some they had already archived it. no im not defending that.  i'm just saying you dont really have a point about litecoin. 

What else do we expect from people who has invested million into their project,they will come up with many different ideas and rules so that they could benefit from it but Jihan Wu really surprised me when he accepted to shift to segwit in litecoin. If he could do that easily with bitcoin then i would be great. :D

Good that they read the BIP and reconsidered their opinions, more members of the Bitcoin community making informed decisions is always a good thing.

I was basically saying that ViaBTC was saying fuck LTC, have SegWit we think its terrible and I thought that was funny.

The funny thing is the deletion of the tweet.  This expose them that they are already biased in their decision pushing an agenda against something that they do not have any idea until recently that they read about it.

Personally I liked that they were bragging that they weren't being paid, just a couple weeks after https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/viabtc-open-bitcoin-exchange-raising-200000-funding-led-bitmain/  (and with jihan already 50% owner prior to the investment).

Perhaps it has never occurred to you that Jihan, ViaBTC and others knows more than you. Perhaps they are actually doing you a favour.

I don't like Segwit either. That's is based on my own research and the ability to make my own mind up.

All i want it a simple goddamn 1mb blocksize limit raised to 2 mb for now. Then the miners can damn well fill those blocks up and do their damn job.

That is not that difficult.

I like the way you say for now as if changing things in bitcoin code is that easy and whenever we wanted we could change whatever we wanted but doesn't work that way, doing 2MB increase then will unbalance the fee market and those big miners with most blocks finds therefore will get 2 times more fees so the rich getting richer, and I'm sure not only 2MB but even if max block size were to increase up to 32MB they'd still find a way to spam and mine their own transactions/ spams to again bump the fees because the lust for money will increase as you get more money.

Something tells me but I'm not sure at all that SW will separate signatures from transactions to counter any possible double spend attacks if hard fork ever happened besides the making more space for other transactions of course.(not sure about the double spend counter measure though) I'm a noob but I also have some instincts naturally just like when guys look at me body imagining me naked then I get some funny feelings in my stomach.

Bottom line, even if I have no idea about a subject but I express as best as I can the same way that subject makes me feel as of right now when I hear or read about Jihan/ BU immediately I'm reminded of hitler :D

I said, "for now" as means to end this stupid limit and high fees, but mostly the stupid debate. Core v BU is a stalemate. The fees will drop when there is 2mb, then 3mb, then 4mb. The fee market is insanely stupid idea and needs to revert back to what it was when we could just send BTC anytime with low fees. Big miners will get 2 times more TRANSACTIONS not fees. This applies to all miners. Thus the rich won't be getting richer. Spamming does need to be dealt with and minimum fees would help. Spamming has been a problem for over 7 years and what has Core done. Messed around, tinkering around the edges, Introduce things that doesn't advance adoption rate, capacity or scaling.

Sadly, this is kinda how the world works in a lot of regards, people with a lot of talent and reputation throw it all a way for a few bucks and a pat on the head from the people who they think are in power. People go the way of the money and in this case, VIABTC is simply going to follow Jihan and LORD VER for the money in which they'll throw at them for doing that.


You really don't have to know what you're talking about when someone is paying you to say it anyway - that's just my take on the entire issue.

If they dont care about LTC why would they block it from activating segwit?
I think he post it at the wrong time, he could have wait if something went wrong to segwit, if it happens LOL

LTC will be a great testing ground for Segwit. Once it is activated and demonstrate the benefits, people will get convinced and switch over.

So, Jihan wants his own exchange to trade his BU-coin while the rest of the entire world sees it as an ALT-Coin. This guy is trying to swim against the flow, that will result in a major disaster for him.
