Hi guys,

I'm pretty lost right now because I can't see any altcoin that is worth investing at the moment, besides maybe Monero.
They all seem to go up and all look like they will be at ATH soon.

So I have 350 eur in Kraken, what would you do? ...wait till there is a breakout at BTC?

If you see something I would be happy if you can explain why you think it's worth investing/trading.
I watched some videoy on youtube how to make technical analysis but can't see a single altcoin that looking good to jump in at the moment.
They are all rising, but I assume they will go down again soon.

My tip is qora, severely undervalued, being delisted from poloniex too , so it's a real bargain, but still a serious top 10 contender one day

Check NXT and Ardor charts. They are still for a good run upwards.

Just wait that they fall. What I recommend you is to buy bitcoins in a small dip, send those bitcoins to Poloniex and make your business there. Many more markets. Buy when everyting is red, absolutely anything can be fine, as long as it has been in the top 10 for a long time in term of volume. Wait it rises, and do not be too greedy, sell at about 2% of profit.

ALWAYS have your main investment in bitcoin and only keep a small amount to play with altcoins and always for short term.
and you are absolutely right, all the altcoins seem to be at their ATH and that makes the investment that much riskier. we recently had a very good run in this market when all the altcoins were pumped.
right now i can not make any suggestions because i have bought all my coins when they were cheap and i am selling myself but i can only say look out for coins that are rising and if you catch one of them early on then join in, buy on the rise and sell in a couple of hours even if it meant something like 5% profit. that is a 17.5 Euro profit in an hour. i'd say it is a good deal for start.

Trust me if the crypto will become a massive trend for a lot of the people around the world, as you can see every day there will be people joining on crypto.

But i think you must consider about rlc token, but a good analyzation will be based on a lot of aspects.

A good roadmap, solid developer, transparency. They're all important aspect will always need to be considered.

All of the coin will go down again no exception for bitcoin.

i'd say you are not only not-lost but also pretty much correct.
most of the altcoins are at their ATH. many are getting there and some are dropping fast as bitcoin price is rising.
and as much as i like Monero as one of the rare altcoins that i like, but it seems to be on a down trend at the moment. you can still do some day trading if you like (and that goes for most altcoins) but it is riskier.

for now bitcoin is rising and there is not much that can stop it for the time being.
as a long term investment i will always suggest bitcoin. (join the BitcoinHodlers club).
as a short term trading goes, for now it is on the rise. i would keep an eye out for the news about bitfinex and what is going to happen to that exchange because it can affect the price in short term and that can be a good opportunity.

LISK has been on the rise today (about 22% profit in less than a day) there was no news about it so it may be a small rise though.
also there is Litecoin with its SegWit activation.

maybe it is just me but i say technical analysis should be a secondary tool in altcoin market because it really doesn't work here. although i should say that i am not an expert in this subject.
most things in altcoin market is based on hype leading to a pump and dump. and majority of people are only in it for the short ride to get out with more bitcoins.

Thank you very much to everyone. I'm glad that my "analysis" was correct on the altcoins. I already have withdrawn all the 350eur to BTC for now and will wait a bit now.
Also withdrawing BTC from Kraken isn't working at the moment (?) so I have to wait anyways.

Lot of alts may near ATH, but that does not mean they will not grow higher.  Wait some weeks / months, and invest in project you really like and have a potential.  I can only repeat myself, best investment for longterm is XEM and ETH.  If you dont know XEM, give a chance to it!

Compared with the current technology and updates to come this year XMR is undervalued and I predict the biggest pump exactly on this one. This is where the profits from ETH, LTC and DASH will flow into.

I have been doing this "strategy" in trading altcoins for a while and it has been successful, so let me share it with you here:

I keep watching the market (automatically of course through an API call) and check the prices periodically. when there are some signs of a pump, I go in and manually check that coin, if I find it on a verge of a pump then I buy it fast and as it rises I find a good point to exit before the first dump. in case I found that coin interesting enough I will buy back after this dump in the dip and sell again on the next high and get out for good. this way I can make a good profit each day if I find at least 2 coins.

the signs are mostly the price rise but then I check other stuff such as the volume for that period or the volume in previous days and the history of that coin's pumps. and finally I look for news about that coin to see if there was anything that led to the pump.

You are right ShroomsKit_Disgrace, but I never thought that the coins will go that high :O ...since I am still only able to exchange within Kraken (withdraw blocked) I can't trade that much. Made a little bit with BTC -> ETH -> BTC, but thats it. I hope Kraken will activate my withdraw option soon to be able to trade on Poloniex.

i dont think altcoins goin down anytime soon.
everybody just realized how profitable they can be.
you may have missed the bigger train but there is still a lot of money in altcoins.
i predict the prices will go up in the long run(4-5 months)maybe not this sharp but it will go up.

Altcoins are all time high? Seriously? You must be looking to wrong coins, lol. Check out Waves, Edgeless, Trust, they are too cheap. You must have missed the potentials. Do you play with big marketcap coins only? That's not the best thing to make money. You should check out Bittrex instead of Kraken. ;)

This is a piece of good advice though, seeing only on those on the top is not always the best move or ideal thing to do because there are really some coins do have the potential and still cheap nowadays like what you have mentioned on some coins I have the same perspective among these coins and also how op do know that reaching out the new ATH? No man could able to predict ATH no matter how hard we analyze or even predict.

Maybe now it the moment to stay out if you aren't already in. As many said here, a moment in the future (not so far) a correction will be made. But, if you think that you NEED  ;D to invest in something, I would recommend BTC itself because it will probably mantain most of its gain

you're right and every one which is holding altcoin have get big profit for this and i am sure that you are making a lot of profit too. its been fun if we can get profit from this increase because this mean our bitcoin is increase too. i think this will be happen for 2-3 months and it following with bitcoin price which is increase also.

I can't agree with this statement. Surely bitcoin is still the best but there are indeed good altcoins like litecoin, ethereum, monero, byteball and perhaps doge. And alts are improving all the time.
 If the OP is even convinced that alts are shitty, this still doesn't mean he/she shouldn't buy it. If one can earn money by trading, should this one be concerned whether the stuff he/she buys and sells is good or bad? I don't think so. And alts are now a good investment option. At least a short-term one.

We also don't know when the run is truly over. It could run for years, like the SPY has been on a bull run for over ten years.

Yeah, sometimes the best move is waiting for cheaper coins. But buying at current prices isn't necessarily bad.
