But, if you could instantly use a crypto-token, locking in the fiat-purchase price for whatever you buy (and in these cases, it will probably be a large purchase, not a bottle of toothpaste), it makes sense to use some of these tokens for these purchases. They must have instant transactability, though, and this is rarer than you'd think.

If I want to buy a large amount of gold and I get a discount for doing so with Dash (like a discount with bitcoin), then this simplifies my tax bill, as I can use the cost of purchasing Dash as the purchase price. |
