Title: This is an interest gauge, Casascius physicals.
Post by: sshira on April 26, 2017, 03:28:11 PM
BTC I Have a Casascius 25 and a Casascius 5 that I'm thinking about selling/auctioning. I wanted to gauge the interest level. I have had these coins since Mike had them minted and handed them to me, if asked I'm sure that he would verify this. I know that I'm brand new to the forum, but I wanted these coins to go to someone that will respect and honor what Mike was able to do for the bitcoin market as a whole. Not to someone that doesn't really understand the significance.

If you do decide to auction your physicals, there will definitely be some bidders.

As for trust, if you post some pics with your username and date and accept escrow, you shouldn't have too many problems with your 5BTC coin. I'm not too sure about the 25BTC coin, since it might be safer to meetup in person.

Feel free to ask questions though!

I could be interested, or know of interested parties. Are the 2 coins series 1 or series 2 coins (series 1 they will have the first bits printed on the outside of the hologram, rather than visible through the window in the hologram for series 2)

The 25 is definitely series 1 and I think the 5 is as well. I'll take some pictures tonight.

There should definately be interested in the series 1 coins.  Im not in the market for them but im sure if you started an auction off at face value and offer to use escrow you will get some hits

I'm interested in the Cas 5 but only if you are not based in the US.  Customs are getting really interested in funded crypto especially when the coin is made of silver

There will definitely be some interest in both coins although more so for the 5BTC.
It seems like the 25BTC coins always fetch a lower premium (in ratio to other coins) but the market for them is also a little smaller since fewer people have the funds available to buy one.
Good luck with the sale!
