So I went out of got a new GPU and PSU for my miner, chucked them in and installed drivers. After running GUIMiner -scrypt (Litecoin) for about 10mins the system would just black screen and become unresponsive. Any idea's on what could be causing the problem? System: AMD phenom II x4 945 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 (Rv 1.0) PSU: (New) ThermalTake Smart 750w bronze GPUs: Gigabyte HD 7950 (New) GPU: MSI HD 6870 Using Catalyst 13.4 as drivers. I have tried switching PCI-E slots and it yields no difference, also in GUIMiner the 6870 forces it self to be [0-0] despite being on the bottom slot Thank you for your time. Nothing in-terms of errors or notifications. Just the standard Audit and Information stuff. Trying 13.5 now. Run this: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/diagnosing-memory-problems-on-your-computer If it passes, run it again in "extended mode" - let it go overnight. It could be bad ram, ram/cpu overheating, etc. If so this test will probably catch it. Use the tool from amd website to delete the 13.4 driver than install the 12.8 ones. |
