I will share my opinion in the context of key/notes. Here the key is cryptocurrency and the value or data in the key is Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency can be a career in many ways but relying on just one note/currency is not a wise thought imo.

Worth or not, it depends. As long as you earn your living by taking it as a career ...

Bitcoin isn't a career, it's a payment method, store of value and network for cryptographic proof/blockchain systems.

No one should be treating it like a get-rich-quick scheme, instead it makes way for an economy just like fiat currency does or even like gold does to some degree.  If it was to get returns quickly it wouldn't be much different to a Ponzi.

correct bitcoin is used as a medium of payment and not a career path...

bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies do open an opportunity for lots of careers especially in cyber security and generally the technology sector

If you want to make a career out of Bitcoin then you have to set your plans straight and know exactly what you want to do, just like in anything else. If you've got it sorted out, put your mind into it and you'll have success... This applies to pretty much anything.

You are right, Making a career out of bitcoin should fixed some plans before about this step.First, You should have knowledge about it and about your project. For example like Mining farm used by solar panels.

Bitcoin is basicaly money, you can't create career there. You can make career on of projects that are bitcoin oriented.

If you have the time and knowledge I do believe that it is worth it. As there are many jobs around working with bitcoin , the higher the adoption becomes, the higher demand will be for people to work on bitcoin projects.

Those persons who will make bitcoin as their career are the lucky persons because they will earn a high profit from their home and they will not need to go outside of their homes and will be their own boss independently. So I will like to have bitcoin as my career.

I don't think it will be a career, career is a occupation, a profession, bitcoin is the money you earn. Maybe you can work with the developing team of bitcoin if you want to.

Bitcoin isn't a career in itself, unless you're a Core developer (which is very unlikely).

The only careers which are solely about Bitcoin are online wallet businesses, faucets, investment businesses/securities, investment scams, exchanges, blogs and a few others.  None of these are for everyone to do and all of them are very saturated.

Your "career" should be something online which allows you to accept Bitcoin, not something that's just for the sake of Bitcoin otherwise it's mainly just for people in the know to play around with.

Yes it worth for all of us that bitcoin become a career and it is a type of career that each and every person can adopt it because it can easily be adopted in the part time.

Yes! Bitcoin can be your career.
But to make it happen, you need skills. Skills to provide service and earn bitcoin.

You can also do good online projects online, if you have good plan and if you have enough capital.
You can find enough examples within this forum.

Are bitcoins worth to become a career??

It depend on your mindset about a career. IMO, it can bitcoin be a career if you join bitcoin as

1. blockchain developer
2. crypto dev,
3. big data
4. Pro graphic design
5. Pro Soc med

and it will be ridiculous career if you join bitcoin career as

1. faucet
2. bounty hunter for long time
3. etc

I am currently in a process of seeking a job. I wrote my professional resume and I mentioned my Bitcoin affinity.
Even if you are not a bitcoin developer or a programmer it is enough if you mention that you know what blockchain tech is all about to get you additional benefits.
So yeah, I think bitcoin your time lost while learning what is BTC and how it works will profit in the future.
 

What kind of job are you looking for? I don't think that would be a bonus to add on your resome for the majority of jobs that are available.
Maybe it would be an advantage for certain tech jobs, but even in that area it wouldn't do much for most of them.

You'd have joob chances of making Bitcoin your job if you create your own job or apply at companies that specifically cater to crypto-currency professionals.

Well when Tesla revolutionized the modern electricity, people have been fired up to work on electricity, same on computers and now the installation of solar jobs are blooming too. Its already happening because some really are working on this thing's seriously. Miners and cryptographers and programmers is not an easy job and I think they won't grow from there if they don't take it as a career.

I'm on this community for sideline works, is it a career for me? Well yes in some ways because from what I can see this has really great potential. Is this worth it? Then I'm not in this community if it is not worth it.

yup! and you can write articles about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, could also be consider as a career.

As a:

Miner - no,  The market is saturated.

Developer - no if working for free on core. Yes, if using blockchain tech for a large firm or a third party bitcoin company.

Bitcoin scammer/Ponzi operator - Yes, those never get old and always pay well.

I think yes, bitcoin is worth to become a career, the price of bitcoin now is pretty good, for third country is a good way to make a living with bitcoin, many people now has try to make a living with bitcoin, one of my friend quit his job and make bitcoin as his source of living and now he is quite wealthy

No, it makes no sense. Bitcoin is money and money isn't a career. Money is necessary for every career, so it's a part of it, without money there isn't career (as everyone needs money to survive in society). So you can receive your payments in BTC, but the career is the job you do, it can be any kind of job you do and improve it along the years and decades...

At the moment the only two career I think have any chance to make full time income in a crypto are, one if you are a programmer then you could create your own coin and make money that way, and the second could be a trader.

Depends what you mean really. If you're just talking about bitcoin mining then no, it is definitely not worth it to become a full time bitcoin miner simply because the difficulty has skyrocketed and it has become so unprofitable that you'll probably be giving money to keep your mining rigs functional. Unless you can have a large operation base as well as dirt cheap electricity, don't even think about bitocin mining.

If you just want to work for bitcoins then i would say it's a good idea. However there is little difference between that and working for fiat and then converting these fiat dollars into bitcoin in my opinion.

If you have a skill to offer for a bitcoin based company, by all mean sgo for it. In fact that's my dream career :P

Bitcoin is consider as capital growth, not a career.

Along with capital growth it is also considered as a career. If a person is a freelancer and he is earning some bitcoins from his work then it is true that bitcoin is a currency for him and for an investor it is a capital but suppose if a person is trader and he do active trades and earn profit only as fees from the trades then his career is pure bitcoin career.

I want to work at some major IT company which offers services and products for gamers.
I gotta say that during my interview my future employers (hopefully) were really curious about Bitcoin and how it is different from - PayPal for example.
The job has nothing to do with Bitcoin itself, but maybe I will me managing and validating online payments.

Somewhere in this forum, I read that we are in the early adopter phase of Bitcoin. That means that all of the current users are early adopters. Once more and more people start using Bitcoin, the old users can sell their coins and get rich.

well, i think it's worth to work for bitcoin, i see quite a lot demands who need worker/partner/freelancer related with cryptocurrency, you can use your skill to earn bitcoin. also you can be bitcoin/cryptocurrency trader.

Depending on how you get Bitcoin, if only get from the faucet then I say no, mining then it requires capital, but if you have other capabilities eg create web, trading or other things eg make altcoin wallet then I answer yes, because bitcoin world growth and provides great opportunities to earn money in the form of bitcoin.

Yes bitcoin can become a career in so many way such as : mining, software developer, margin trader, arbitrage traders and buy and hold. We should always see bitcoin as money such as dollar it can be used for exchange of goods and services no different. Bitcoin  advantage is that bitcoin is decentralised and because of this transaction is easier compare to conventional banking system.

No one stops you from trying to make it a career. It will take a lot of effort and time to make decent amounts of bitcoin nowadays though. You are still called one of the early adopters even if you start right now because bitcoin is still relatively young.

I think the best way to start is to offer your services for bitcoin in websites like fiver. Also you can try to build some motherboards with different gpu-s for mining altcoins and converting them to bitcoins.

By career I mean investing your time and money now in order to get richer after a few years, and working everyday to achieve this.

Not sure how exactly you meant btc as a career. You can trade bitcoin for a living, invest in bitcoin projects or smth. And yes, I believe that you can make good money from it and be your own boss in the future. However, I think you should have a proper plan prepared on how to achieve it.

yes, bitcoins are worth to become a career because bitcoin is about of money and obviously only money can build up your bright career.But of course, you have to show you potentiality, skills and hard work then money will help you and it became worth.

For me going full time in bitcoin is worth it only if one knows how to program if not Ill say it is not worth a shot at all to make bitcoin a full time career since every one of us needs fiat nowadays to live life and buy our daily needs. It is worth a shot doing trading though I would not consider it to be a full time career in bitcoin because trading only needs a little time per day or week most of the time to be profitable.

For me its goo to have a job, but if you are earning more spending time online why not isn't it?

Depends on career. U can be bitcoin advocate if you like speaking, coder if you like to code etc.
It is for me, even if i will earn less than regular job, im doing what i love to do (bitcoin).

I think the question should be reframe to, can you make bitcoin a source of income? Yes you can make bitcoin a source of income and even live on bitcoin completely from any part of the world. Some traders especially arbitrage and margin traders make above $200,000 annually from bitcoin and buy and hold traders make above that. You can also become a miner, reporters, article writer and advisers on bitcoin related issues and received payment in bitcoin.

Of course bitcoin is a revolutionary currency but behind it there is also an innovative technology. Therefore there is new field where people can work and they can make a career. Some of them are as financial analysts in cryptocurrency ecosystem and as software developers in blockchain and so on.

If you learned something that you think it can give you enough support for a living and you have the passion to do it then why not? We have to remember bitcoin is a currency just like fiat?

Absolutely right. If we have good knowledge, give the priority that subject and research continuously it will definitely help us to become a career.

Well i would say why not. Bitcoin survived for so long, and every day there is more and more people that are interested in bitcoin. Price of bitcoin is rising because of people are buying it, and that is only that matters if you ask me. Even when price stop rising, it would be worth while dealing with bitcoin. Bitcoin have bright future in front of it, i hope it will last for long time.

With the way bitcoin has been rising in recent months, I wouldn't have a shadow of a doubt, there are not too many people who would not take bitcoin instead of fiat nowadays.

If I am impressed with bitcoin and want to make a career in it then I wouldn't keep it restricted to the bitcoin only. There are lot more opportunities in the sector of not only in cryptocurrencies but also in the blockchain. We will be using blockchain in possibly every sector as it is cost effective, easy to use and widely accessible. Yes, this revolutionary technology is worth making a career in it and it would pay too as there will be very less availability of the experts as compared to that of demand.

Finally decided to register and I actually aim to spend few hours a day studying about crypto, not sure if you qualify it as a career. I guess it can grow to career for me :)

I would argue that bitcoin can give us an opportunity. An opportunity that can be a job. This is a good career path, because in the future we will always face bitcoin. A digital currency that will be recognized by everyone.

If you are in high position rank in this forum then you can earn very nicely with lot of options like, signature campaign, altcoin giveaways free coins by doing small tasks, and other more work. And when i am converting them to fiat currency at the latest price it is giving me double the income what i am earning from my day job

It depends if you're too good with trading then yes it can ne a good career that you need to focus or as your sideline as wellbitcoin is a great currency which can be use for many transactioncess like sending with small fess this is worldwide also use to invest online

What skills you are good at, if you think you are good at technical, creating sites, good in writing articles regarding bitcoin, open in entering trading, then, I can say that you have a good future not only in bitcoin but also in real life. Just explore things and always hard work on everything you do and eventually you'll be succeed.

depending about your skill and your "focus" if you have great skill at cooding, then make your own altcoin , bitcoin will be good way to be main job for you.

Hmmmm I am not sure bitcoins worth to become a career ..... but with cryptocurrencies you can make a good career .

For example you can invest a small ammount into mining cryptocurrencies . You can get a good profit monthly by mining cryptocurrencies :)

Bitcoin has a big potential.
And like with everything that has potential, you can build a careera around it.
But I think it's more difficult than in other fields.
There are no schools or universities that would teach you what bitcoin is, how it works and where you can benefit best from it.
With bitcoin, you must teach yourself. Not everybody has those capabilities.

In my own opinion yes bitcoin worth become our career if we are jobless and hard to find a decent job bitcoin is there you only need to focus on him because if you don't work hard like what we actually did in office then we can't earn perfectly.

I think it is more than just a price. As we all see, that staff of some company that deals with altcoins are professionals ( now all ), and they are graduate in prestigiousschool in their country and their degree is really on computer and software industry, and we need more of that. Well in my country there are information technologists but they are not capable or very out of league when a real job comes and my country is lacking more of that. The world is undoubtedly going into the digital world, and as I've said more careers are guaranteed into that field. If you're thinking about having a career in this thing, go for it. These kind of jobs are in demand and it will become a major career in the near future.
This is more than just cryptocurrencies, this is a legend in the making.

If i talk about myself , ya today bitcoin is really worthy as career as now i am earning bitcoins more then what i am earning in my day job, and even bitcoin has given me lot of options and career way of developing myself and now i am giving lot of skill work learned by this forum.

I think bitcoin make a good career. If you have skill. Skill bring services and you eran good. Who taking bitcoin career he finish his job in home.If you have enough capital trade bitcoin and earn lot of money.

What do you mean by career ? Bitcoin is a currency. You can accept bitcoins as a mode of payment for your job or services offered.
If you decide to hold some bitcoins then that too may be profitable.
If you want a career in bitcoin related services you have to improve your skills in programming and/or graphics , trader,etc.

BitCoins themselves are not a career, but you can make quite a bit of money (btc is also money) by doing things like mining or trading, etc.  I recently got into crypto a few months ago.  In that time I have made more money than I did all year so far at my regular 9-5 day job.

So much, in fact, that I have decided to spend as much time as possible to learning how to trade and how the crypto world operates.  It's been a great journey so far, and I'm looking forward to the future  ;D

I think what he trying to say is that we can pursue a career in cryptography or a miner or a Cryptocurrency programmer which I think schools don't have that kind of courses now. In the near future if cryptocurrencies really replaced fiat then I think there will be courses about cryptocurrencies that will be offered. As it is now there is no such thing but self improvement and self experienced of skills in cryptocurrencies.

There are many careers that can make use of bitcoins technology mostly benefiting computer programmers that can help altcoin owners
create valuable and robust coins.Their actually some online courses that are also teaching people about bitcoin to get a better understanding of it.

I agree with you. It has given me a opportunity to earn through signature campaigns and trading. And used this additional cash flow to my business. And to tell you honestly, I'm thinking of giving up my offline business and seriously focus more on my trading to earn more. But all the advise I get from anyone is that not to stop my offline business and continue it and just made bitcoin earning as a sideline. So for myself, yeah, it can be career for some individual.

Tired of being an office employee, maybe bitcoin could be the solution. Waiting for certainty to be a government employee will also make you saturated and irritated without certainty. It's time to make a choice and start investing with bitcoin. Start saving and building a business from home.

Literally speaking, bitcoin is not a career or a job that you can pursue. It is a digital currency that is NOT centralized or controlled by any government. However, if what you meant was if bitcoin can be a source of your next income or a worthy investment, then bitcoin’s current market standing screams affirmative! It has already reached more than $2,500, went down but maintained a position well above $2,000 and shows no indication of going down any moment.   

By Bitcoin career you mean mining or trading and making altcoins and helping run block chains ? Working online for Bitcoin related companies and businesses ? Yes I think it is worth it. It's against convention and some people dislike conventional ideas so a Bitcoin based career can be a good thing for such people.

Why not, if you have the finances, will and the knowledge you can make it a career and some pretty decent money and with that you can make a career out of anything, pretty much. I'm not interested in making a career in bitcoin as a main thing but I can see bitcoin implemented as a big part of my future plans.

Bitcoin can not exactly be career. It has much ups and downs.
Bitcoin can be used as a part/full time job but not as a career. Bitcoin will give much profit but it also can lead you to a loss.
As we all know bitcoin price is not stable.
It keeps changing. If you really want to make a career in bitcoin you have to study a lot about bitcoin.
I have no right to change your mind. Do what you find usefull. But stufy a lot about bitcoin and also stusy all ups and down in it.
