You surely have heard of "onecoin", self-described cryptocurrency, in which "investors" invested three-digit millions of cash already.
The coinspondent, one of the major Bitcoin and cryptocurrency newssites in Germany, wrote about "onecoin". Now they started legally threatening Friedemann, the face behind the Coinspondent, and try to literally take offline the entire newssite.
Right now, Friedemann and supporters try to rally up funds and publicity. If it works, he will battle "onecoin" in court. If it fails, he will surrender to them. He is not alone receiving threats, he should contact the person who commented on his article (Tym). Another website received dead threats for writting about them. They shouldn't be called cryptocurrency, they have nothing cryptographic.

Totally unfair.  Their SQL database is password protected.  The password is probably "password$123".

Yes I think somewhat. Since the site is european based. With an US based website taking the website owner to the court is difficult for them.
