Title: Strange balance behavior in Poloneix
Post by: pornluver on May 01, 2017, 06:37:26 PM
I believe I transfer 1.3 bitcoin from exchange account to lending account.

Then I saw I have only .29 bitcoin left in my lending account.

So I did a search.

This is what I found

 https://i.stack.imgur.com/GqxhT.png

It says I have .29 balance in lending. I have 1.3 bitcoins.

I check my balance and it does say that I have 1.3 bitcoins.

However, 1 BTC is in "orders"

What orders? Open orders? None. None of my BTC are in open orders.

Check your email.  They tell you whenever someone accesses your account from an unrecognised browser - although if someone else did have access to your account I have no idea why they would trade with it instead of withdrawing.

It could be that you accidentally placed an order at some point, or that there's a glitch but your only real choice is contacting their support (who are very slow at responding right now it seems) to see what's up.

Are they on loan?

you probably only have 0.29 as free and available btc..

the other 1.177 btc is not btc its just 'potential' btc but is being used to sell zec back to btc.

so although your "holdings VALUE" combine to be about 1.3.. its actually split as 0.29 of actual btc. and zec valued at 1.177btc

This is also what I suspect. OP's balance is 0.29 BTC (this is available BTC ready for trading r for lending) and 1.17 BTC worth in zec. The 1.3 BTC he meant is his total possible balance in BTC and it will change when zec goes up or down depending on market value.

Are they on loan?

This is what I suspect. OP says he moved them into lending. So they are probably being lent to someone. I don't think it has anything to do with the ZEC order. That is a sell order so it shouldn't effect the listed btc balance IIRC.

I think this is just a glitch in poloniex better to try to contact the support and ss about the issue you experience and also like other said check your email and maybe there is suspicious login in your poloniex account.. because if you heard the old database from a hack site before if you register and hook with your email and password the same someone are logging in  your account this is the same as mine someone are logging in my account receive from my email.  poloniex is not safe if you didnt change your wallet from before and until now.

My lending balance is now .33 BTC. Hmmmm

It went up from .29 BTC

Is this a glitch?

I don't think there is anything to do with that zec sell order. Also I do remember transfering 1.3 btc to lending accounts. I wonder if I can check that transaction.

Did you contact support about your account?
Check your email if someone has logged in with your account if it does change your password, clean your pc with an reformat.
It seems like someone is using your account or just an bug from the site itself, contact support for further clarifications.

I do not think that is the case.

That's because my zec balance is listed. Also it worths only .91 BTC

Check out the Transfer Balances page at https://poloniex.com/transfers and it will list where exactly your funds are ( Exchange / Margin / Lending / etc ).

See if that page provides any extra information that might explain where the rest of your btc is.

This might be a technical issue, which can be sought contacting the technical support system. Every transaction gives a email confirmation. So you can clearly describe it to the support and get everything solved.

I think OP already check that, That's why he is confused about where did his funds go. I think someone accesses OP's Account and put some buy order without any notice from him. I encounter many attempts on my POLO account that someone accesses my account which is out of my authorization. I think POLO is not safe anymore.

That is precisely the problem. At transfer balances it says that I have 0 BTC on exchange and .33 on lending.

On deposit and withdraw it says that I have 1.33 BTC total, and 1 btc on "orders"
If someone access my balance they would have just withdraw.

They're probably on loan, check the bottom of the lending page.

The rest of my loans are

BTC   0.15%   1.67907183   2 Days   On   Provided   5/2/2017 17:51   0.00000621 BTC
BTC   0.10%   0.00438689   10 Days   Off   Provided   5/1/2017 15:17   0.00000486 BTC
BTC   0.10%   0.18579532   10 Days   Off   Provided   5/1/2017 15:16   0.00020617 BTC
BTC   0.10%   0.01214514   10 Days   Off   Provided   5/1/2017 15:16   0.00001347 BTC
BTC   0.10%   0.10930633   10 Days   Off   Provided   5/1/2017 15:16   0.00012130 BTC
BTC   0.10%   0.72910289   10 Days   Off   Provided   5/1/2017 15:16   0.00080924 BTC

If I sum that out it's 2.7 BTC which is the amount of BTC that should be there.

Okay it works.

Maybe I loan 1 BTC first and so only .3 is left.

Anyway, besides poloneix where else should I put my bitcoin and help our buddy that do margin trading?
