I see that is very close to 1400 at the moment, so with this trend there is good chance that it will reach 1450 within next couple of months.

It already did so you need to change the VOTE to if it will reach 1500 dollars. Yesterday night I was checking preev website and it was 1484 dollars for one bitcoin. I think it will reach 2000-10000 dollars for one bitcoin during this year once the turmoil of hard fork fades away.

I think the bitcoin price will hit $1450 dollars this week because if you see the price is $1400 so you can better to buy more bitcoin if you want more profit. just hold your bitcoin dont sell it if you want more profit. And I believe this month bitcoin will reach $1500 . And my prediction this year 2017 bitvoin price will possible to hit $2000 and that is very possible to happen. Where did you get this information? For example, I just watched the course 1462 dollars for 1 bitcoin Is of course also a historical high, but still it is less than 1500. In any case, the rate is increasing and it makes me happy.

Well, I know this might not be the first, but we have surely passed the 1,500$ mark and made it all the way to 1,607.02$. And who knows when this pump will end. Perhaps we’ll reach 1,800$?

Yes of course, why not? as you can see the bitcoin is getting more popular and the price is going upward from now, that's why bitcoin will continue to grow higher and higher without too much fluctuations :)

Well, here we are; we just surpassed 1,605$ last night (as you can see by my screenshot from coinmarketcap). This thread already needs updateing again, perhaps we’ll reach 1,700$ or 1,800$.

I think you need to bump up your predictions. Each time I see this thread its asking if bitcoin will hit 1x00 and each time it already has.

It all depends on if it gets to 1,800 quickly or not. If it goes quickly people will sell and it will lose it’s value; but if it slowly creeps up then we’ll be fine.

While it will probably continue to go up; there's always bumps in the road and we'll likely see a lot of dumps along with the pumps (even if the end result is a very high price).

I think that bitcoin will hit the US$2,000 by the end of 2017. Everyone in the cryptocurrency world wants to see the value of this limited supply global currency explode and it looks more likely to happen sometime soon. But at that price value it still needs to be sustainable in the long run and I'm not sure if it is. Only time will tell!

It almost hit $2000 last night. Well, the way it was going sure looked like it would hit 2K. So now we have a pull back and then another pump to 2K next week is my prediction.

People who were trading on Gox or Bitfinex in the 2013 runup will tell you that once it takes off and everybody starts rushing in it will start climbing furiously then crash.

The difference is that now there are smarter investors who will be ready to buy when it crashes so it won't crash too hard.

In all markets there is a metric of sentiment, usually called something like 'the bullish index'. When too many people start getting bullish, and everybody is sure the price is going up, the wolves step in and eat. In 2013 there was a lot more margin activity, which can lead to rapid crashes, but still today you can expect a mild crash after it starts to soar.

I guess when you put it like that it really sounds like we're going to see a lot of value in the upcoming years (assuming that everything stays the same and we continue to rise like we were).

Bitcoin seems to have gone down a bit and stabled out at around 1800$. Perhaps we are not quite ready to reach 2000$ yet, although I am sure it’s coming soon.

I think that in order for Bitcoin to get much past 2000$ we would need mass adoption, and in order to get mass adoption we would need faster transactions which would require the scaling wars to end.

The price of bitcoin is so predictable that probably no one will be able to predict its behavior. It seems to me that 2 and 3 thousand is not the limit, but there is no guarantee that after that there will be a large drop.

Didn't it hit way above $2000 yesterday I think? I saw a guys screenshot in twitter that it temporarily hit a price above $2000 for a really short period of time. BAck to the poll tho, I think it will. The price has been rising so fast but I am really going for the safe side and cashout my money in case the bubble pops.

Notice the speed at which Bitcoin is climbing? Does this speed indicate a tipping of the world financial system over the edge of the world money pinnacle?

Gold and silver are not moving very fast. But, their price is dynamically controlled like the currencies are, behind the scenes, by wealthy people. Bitcoin isn't controlled in the same way, by the same people.

Is Bitcoin the true indicator of what is happening in finances? Is the financial system of the world finally beginning to fail? Are we seeing the tipping point where the downward crash of the money system starts to really take hold?

There are so many financial bubbles out there, that any one of them could ignite the financial implosion bomb. Did some behind-the-scenes bubble burst? Is this just the start? Will there be a correction, or is the world money system doomed from this point on?

The current price hike is majorly because of the demand of Bitcoins. i don't think demand will increase as always since there are more altcoins performing well in the market.

Of course possible that I'm wrong, but bitcoin is the most popular crypto currency. It seems to me that the price of bitcoin will continue to grow. Next week the price would exceed $ 2,000. With this steady growth of the bitcoin just replace all altcoins.

I just checked coinmarketcap.com, the current price is 1,965.04$ I think that we will probably hit 2,000$ withing a day or so of this post. I’m kind of surprised that BTC is still rising after this bull run we’ve had.

$2,000 was too easy.. the next target must be a bit tough, such as $5,000 or even $10,000.

Do you see what's been happening with Bitcoin? There are enough people playing with it that, every time some of them want to take profit, it drops a little. Then, the rest of the people get in on the lower price, making it surge even higher.

All hope for the growth of bitcoin and on, but nobody says why. When it comes to conventional currency is all clear the economy is growing and increasing the value of the currency if the national Bank reduces the exchange rate artificially, but why is the bitcoin. I do not fully understand this mechanism, and it bothers me.

If there is no formal legal regulation and enforcement by Government (a thing Gov might find it hard to do), people will find out about how fast Bitcoin is growing as of this writing. They will join by the hordes, and Bitcoin could skyrocket beyond $100,000. This could collapse the banking system.

The thing about this is, it could happen almost overnight... perhaps even in one week... like a nuclear chain reaction.

Today (May 25) Bitcoin peaked above $2750 in the morning (Bitstamp record at https://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitstampUSD#rg2ztgSzm1g10zm2g25zv). Then it dumped as low as $2300. Now it is back up to as high as $2500 in the last hour or so.

What are we seeing? Is this the beginning of a big profit taking? Or is it merely a "re-grouping" where Bitcoin will go higher still?

So was this topic always Dollars and then it suddenly changed to Euros, or am I just that unobservant? For some reason I always remember it being dollars.
Anyway, back to the topic; yes, I do believe that we will reach 4000K at some point (either Euros or $), although I feel like that's a little ways off in the future.

Anyway, I think it'll be a pretty long time before Bitcoin reaches 4000$. I mean to hit 4K it'd need to double it's value. Then again, however, with the latest pumps Bitcoin could probably surprise us (both good and bad).

4000 dollars per bitcoin possible, but I think it will not be soon. I do not quite understand why people pay for bitcoin the money if they don't the currency speculators. Everything you can buy with bitcoin you can the same and even more to buy dollars. Why should I buy bitcoins.

One of the biggest reasons is probably because the people who want Bitcoin to succeed own Bitcoin and would like the money they'd gain from Bitcoin succeeding. Otherwise a lot of people probably just think that Bitcoin is a neat project and hope it does well.

Actually in Kuwait the price is only 719 but they don't use $. The thread will maybe be switched to their money as it approached 4,000 euros, but there don't seem to be more fiat options after that to keep the price below 4,000 so next stop a comex commodity...
