How to download, create address, send and receive, trade on DEX and lease your tokens using WAVES PLATFORM WALLET.

THE WAVES PLATFORM WALLET

The WAVES lite client has an offline storage option and users can run it on any device in the browser, so it is simple with no blockchain download, instant connections, and the ability to import and set up quickly on different devices.It is possible to import/recover an account on any device by using the unique seed from which each account address is generated, so accounts are accessible from any device. This is particularly useful in the case of hardware failure. In addition to the unique seed users encrypt access to their account with a password. Offline storage for the lite client and 2fa will be implemented in a later phase of development.

4-The SEED- BACKUP PHRASE

Copy in a safe place the Wallet Seed: Is the seed that you will need to have access to your wallet and your tokens.Yo will have access to your wallet on your PC or on your mobile with that seed.Is the only way to recover your account.

5- Where to buy WAVES?

If you still don´t have waves on your wallet you can buy it on exchanges or with the same Decentralized Exchange(DEX) that you will find in your WAVES WALLET

Once you buyed your waves on the exchanges you can send the tokens to your Waves wallet address.

6- Send and Buy WAVES

Once you have waves in your wallet you can send it to another address by clicking on SEND or send it to different addresses(0-100) using MASS TRANSFER

9- The Decentralized Exchange

Once you have your BTC or EUROS you can buy Waves with the Decentralized Exchange that you have on your WAVES WALLET:

THE FULL NODE ON WAVES PLATFORM

If you are a lite client user only (with no blockchain download) you will be able also to receive rewards from the network by leasing your balance to a full node (which requires full blockchain download). The rewards from the full node’s activities will be shared between all users leasing their balance to it.

The minimum requirements to run a full node is to have 1k waves. The same incentives apply to everyone who has a balance above 0. The bigger the balance, the bigger the share from the reward pool a user receives.

Users with lower balances may choose to lease their balance to full node, which validates blocks more often than they would.

Q&A

a) As far as I know, leasing WAVES does not mean transferring WAVES. Am I correct?

Correct, you keep control of your waves.

b) If the answer for the first question is yes, then why there's a fee (in the lite client?) required when leasing WAVES?

There is tiny fee because leasing is a type of transaction.The fee is just the normal transactional cost

c) While being leased,can not use the leased WAVES?

Correct, leased waves are not spendable.  

d) Can I cancel the lease at any time?

You can cancel a leasing transaction as soon as it is in the blockchain. That happens in less than minute most usually.

e) How many time needs my lease to start to generate rewards?

It takes 1000 blocks for it to be fully in effect.

f)Witch is the difference between Regular, Effective and Generating Balance?

Regular is your original Waves balance you have all the time, you still receive all airdrops, effective is your regular balance + received leases - sent leases, generating is your your effective balance with received and cancelled leases confirmed after 1000 blocks.

g)When I´ll recieve my payouts?

Payouts will be weekly.Ever monday Wavesfullnode will send the rewards to his lenders.

h) Wich rewards I´ll recieve?

You do not mine , if you have your own Node you can forge the transactions of the platform.More waves on your wallet-node means more possible blocks to forge and more TX to receive.
You will need a minimum of 10000 waves to run it.

1- Yes, this is the correct address to lease your waves to wavesfullnode.com

2- At this moment It is known issue with leasing tx disappearing from history after some number of txes in lite client, the simplest way at the moment is to use the unlease tool until mainnet with new method is updated and new versions are released.

This are the instructions of the leasing utility.

a) You need to find the ID of your lease tx in http://www.wavesgo.com/account.html? (you address)

b)Download the latest Windows release: https://github.com/amichaelix/wavesgo-leasing/releases/download/v0.3/wavesgo-lease-v0.3.zip

c)Then open “unlease.exe” and follow the instructions.

2- If you have waves in your Lite Client you can lease it. Your waves will be under your control, you only lease your power of leasing.
All leasers receive a 100% of all the TXs of our Node. At this time we are paying the rewards in $waves and $mrt (miners reward token)
The individual leaser reward will depend of how many waves are you leasing, and how many time you have your waves leased.

3- We are paying the rewards on a weekly basis every monday.

Is a good option to lease your waves if you do not want to sell it. You will have rewards without doing anything.Waves is starting to grow and with the new Icos joinning the platform, the Txs will grow too.More Txs implies more options to forge blocks on our node and more rewards to distribute to our leasers.
You always have the option to cancel the lease.
Our node will pay in the near future not only the waves tx´s fees rewards, as soon as the new projects will joy the platform we will accept the fees on his own tokens. Actually our node is accepting the Txs fees of Mercury(MRT) but the distribution less the fee payable by sending the reward is not feasible at this moment.

I just lease out a small quantity of waves from my light account to try out how it works. If I cancel the lease is there any extra charges to me? If you cancel the lease there is no extra charges for you.
You will receive your rewards for the time that your waves are leased.(every monday)
If you cancel your lease and immediately you lease again , you must wait then ,1000 blocks before you start to generate balance another time.

Example:
Our node is generating aprox 25 blocks a week. That means 4000 Miner Reward Tokens every month . If our node have 100.000 waves generating leasing means that every waves will recieve 0.04 MRT.
The number of waves recieved depends of the content that every block have.I see it blocks with more than 1 waves , others with 0.001 waves.
This example is with the same waves leased and generating 30 days without any variation. This numbers are changing day by day, some people will cancel their lease, others will start to lease.

First of all we must differentiate the list of the tokens that you must receive when you start a leasing with wavesfullnode.com
We pay a 100 % of all the waves earned with our node.
We pay a 100 % of all the Miner Rewards Tokens(MRT) earned with our node.
At this moment every block forged represents 40 MRT.
If you have waves( leased or not) in your own wallet ,the waves platform team pays you a % of Waves Community Token(WCT) every month(day 15). You must have the waves in your wallet , if your waves are on your exchange account you will not recieve WCT.
Remains 4 airdrops till September 2017.
Our node is not paying WCT because we only have 7.69 waves( available for paying the tx comissions) and the reward received of the WCT is minnimum.All the waves that we have are on the wallets of the leasers not in our wallet.
As soon as new ICO´s are integrated on the Waves Platform, our node will it integrate too his ID to start to accept his token fees.
At this moment our node is receiving the fees of Mercury(MRT). But the distribution is not possible because the TX fee on waves is superior that the reward on MRT that I must pay.
In the next future the platform will grow with the new DEX , the new ICO´S  and consequently the TX´will grow too.

Yes first of all to run the Node you need a minnimum of 10k waves.
Right now with the actual blockchain and Tx´s on the platform a server with 2Gb Memory you are good to go.
In the next future I think that will be much more.

Yes some of the leasers have a negative reward on waves ( Reward on waves is lower than the TX fee that I must pay to send that reward) actually the TX fee to send is equal at 0.001 waves. The platform is growing, IMO the TX will grow too. Our NODE is working only for 4 weeks and is to early to start to recieve lots of waves rewards.As we grow with the platform our rewards will be much higher too.At this moment I´m thinking in wich will be the best distribution for the people who have a negative reward.(for some could be 1 month for others 6 months or more)

So, waves is a facilitator to transfer many types of funds from place to place? But also has its own "coin" which is trade-able on exchanges? and each coin value is determined by the market (supply/demand) like all other cryptocoins?

Good question:
Lots of new projects and Ico´s will come to Waves Platform in the next future.If you have WAVES or WCT in your wallet you can be credited with some of that tokens because of the possible airdrops.On the other hand you can receive spam tokens that will not have any value.
What I´m doing?
I created a new waves wallet and I send all this Tokens to that wallet.You will never know what the future will bring.
I have my principal wallet with all the official Tokens of Waves ( with a green check on the left) and in my other wallet the other ones.
This week one of that tokens has become official.
Then you have the option to sell it on the DEX(decentralized exchanged of wavesplatform) or wait 1 year  ;)
You can buy too all the tokens that are created on the platform if they have pairs on DEX, but always see what you are buying= green check.

Regular is your original Waves balance you have all the time, you still receive all airdrops, effective is your regular balance + received leases - sent leases, generating is your your effective balance with received and cancelled leases confirmed after 1000 blocks.
It is ok but If you want to cancel your leasing you will need some waves in your effective balance.
Actually you have 0 waves and you will need 0.001 if you want to cancel.

You can buy it with your credit card too by clicking on DEPOSIT in platform. but for 02.06.2017 time 11.00 (gmt +3) platform says you will buy 10.00 waves for 32 dollar.
when you pay 32 with your credit card only 7.5 waves came into your account. there will a bug about  that. but they do not accept this bug, they said "it's just a matter of the market".
so you do not able to buy at normal price with credit card deposit, you will buy at %20-25 higher price.

When using a client you should correct this:

1) Solve the problem of people being unable to make orders at first because they don't have waves. Either make first transacition BTC/WAVES free, or just credit them .001 waves for the fee when creating account. You can also make an option to buy directly waves from credit card so the issue is solved.

2) Fix the error message when we cant put orders because of unsuficient waves. Right now it reads 'error in your order or smth like that'. Just put 'Error: you must have .001 waves to put your orders' and instruct them how to get waves.

It is fair to distribute more rewards then to the people who is leasing more and has more time the waves leased.

Total waves per month: 1.03x4= 4.12
Total MRT per month:  2240x4= 8960
At current rate 1 MRT is about 0.019 waves

Total Waves: (8960x0.019)+4.12= 170.24+4.12= 174.36 waves earned

It means that for every waves leased at the same rates of waves leased(251.938) and time leased(1 month)
We have a 174.36/251938= 0.000692 waves for every waves leased.
The you can multiply your stake for 0.000692
Example with 10000 waves
You will recieve  6.92 waves that it means 0.000692 %
This numbers are changing every second.(market value of mrt+waves leased+blocks forged+time of active leasings+mrt reward that changes every 50000 blocks).

I just downloaded the walllet for my ipad.  It does not have all the features I can see when i open the wallet online at https://waveswallet.io.

For example it does not have all the buttons such as lease or trade etc.  Any idea why?  I have downloaded from istore twice, but both times very limited functionality?

While I clearly cannot hold you responsible for the fact I "invested" such a small amount, I expect to not be the only one in this situation.

I´m working on new a features to distribute the rewards but it is not in my hand to change the TX fess of the platform.
The fee is the same if I send 100 waves or 0.0019999.
At this time our node is receiving MRT WAVES and MER.
As new ICOS are joininng the platform our node will accept his TX fees on his own token.
WavesfullNode is accepting multiple fees in different kinds of tokens like:

You'll have to end up sooner or later with a web UI where everybody can see the current earning and either set a threshold for himself whether (s)he wants more often payments or bigger ones at a time, either just having the option to ask for a withdraw (at the next payment moment).

I think the biggest problem with the waves dex is not being able to see an overview of the prices of all the markets. Not having a history to sum up all your trades and open orders. Hopefully when they release a more usable gui dex they will include these features, and waves dex will be used way way more. There needs to be a faq in the dex. For example, I don't know if you can buy just one coin from someones sell order of many coins, with the fees it wouldn't make sense. Do you pay fees when selling and buying? If so the fees are a little too high, especially when waves coin is worth ten times what it is now.

Incentivizing POS mining.
We’ve launched a new asset, Miners Reward Token. The idea behind it is mining incentivization, more people should have a reason to maintain a full node. It’s important for POS systems, since in a usual set-up all you get in proof-of-stake blockchains as a miner is transaction fees, which are not so big if you don’t have tons of transactions in the network. Probably it would make sense to create a POS system with a block mining bounty as in Bitcoin, but it’s not so easy conceptually, since in POS systems all native tokens are distributed in the genesis block.

So,as a temporary solution, (as long as we don’t have tens of thousands transactions in the network per hour), we will be rewarding miners with a new asset https://t.co/YV4rZdzRTn. Each miner will be receiving 50,40,30,20,10 tokens per mined block, with “halving” taking place each 50000 blocks. The asset will be distributed in about a year.
So where does the value of this asset come from? As you know you can get mining fees on Wavesplatform not only in waves but also in custom tokens. So token issuers should have an incentive to strike a deal with miners regarding accepting their assets as fees. An automated way to do that would be distributing some bounty in the asset to active miners. That could be done through distributing it to the MRT holders, which are exactly that, miners.
On top of that, miners will be able to vote for certain network parameters and issues, similar to the proposed scheme for Waves Community Token. This is a quite flexible tool, so many other ways to use it could come up later.
Blockchains are technical mechanisms of social consensus, so it’s very important to engage system participants in securing and maintaining the network. I believe that MRT is a right step in this direction.

Hey guys read someone mentioned you could lease waves and have few questions.


1.  Is 10000 waves still the minimum to lease waves?  That is a lot of money and im sure most people dont have anywhere close to that amount of waves.


2.  If you have 10000 waves, how much waves will you be getting a week?  So lease means lend to the waves wallet... but you still have the waves yourself?  Im confused about this.


3.  So this is basically like you depositing money into a bank savings account and getting a ridiculous 0.1 percent rate or something like that right?  However, im curious how much waves will you be getting per 10,000 waves?

1- There is no minimum to lease your waves.You will need 10000 waves if you want to run your own node.
2-You have your waves in your wallet. You lend your waves to the NODE and always you can stop the leasing anytime.

Total waves per month: 7.22x4= 28.88
Total MRT per month:  1620x4= 6480
At current rate 1 MRT is about 0.019 waves

Total Waves: (6480x0.019)+28.88= 123.12+28.88= 152 waves earned

It means that for every waves leased at the same rates of waves leased(361259) and time leased(1 month)
We have a 152/361259= 0.0004 waves for every waves leased.
The you can multiply your stake for 0.0004
Example with 10000 waves
You will recieve  4 waves that it means 0.0004 %
This numbers are changing every second.(market value of mrt+waves leased+blocks forged+time of active leasings+mrt reward that changes every 50000 blocks).

I have noticed last week you sent waves in the account and the quantity is 0.00097465 Waves and for that, I end up paying 0.001 WAVES. I know that I have received my portion based on my waves quantity leased.

But if you think logically what you did is not correct. Because you already know that waves fee and it is not going to helpful for investors.

I suggest next time please fix some minimum amount to send in waves and until that amount reached you can hold on to it. Otherwise, I don't think what your doing is correct.

I´m not controlling the waves fees, but I´m Working on a solution for our leasers.

I earned 900 Wavesfullnode. What can i do with these tokens? Can i change them with Waves??????

Yes, I know you can't control the waves fee. But you guys are the one sending these small transactions so you hold on to it until you find a solution for it.

But someone yesterday sends a very small amount of waves and fee is only 0.00000001 WAVES and I don't know whether is you or different person because the address does not belong to you.

How often do you get paid for leasing your waves?  One payment every what?


Also can someone tell me how much waves you would get paid for 1000 waves?  Thus how many waves would you get paid per month leasing 1000 waves?  I assume its like under 0.5 waves right?

Once per week, much less than 0.5.

Trying this out for a few days now. Don't have a better thing to do with my waves anyhow.

Can someone who has leased waves tell me how much waves exactly/around you are getting per week or month?  For example say you have like 500 waves. 


You can just say 450 waves for example and say i get 0.01 waves a month etc.  I want to know around how much waves you get per week and month when doing this.


So if someone has 1000 waves, how much waves do they get per week... per month etc.

aprx 1 wave for 1000 waves per year, according to my current earnings.

Hey all.  Im curious but did anyone here receive some very tiny transfers to their waves wallet?  For example the name shows eot token, waves community etc?  Can someone explain to me what that is?  I receive a few of these transfers to my waves wallet but i have no idea what these are.

Airdrops or just spam in case of non verified tokens (or at least 95% of them).

When there is a green check mark with them they are real, others are just spam.

The leasing is not so rentable for now, but when the number of transactions will grow, it's gonna be interesting.

I lease my waves since one year, and i receive my airdrops :D mercury, riptobux, wavesgo ( i lease on wavesgo ) , wavescommunity, miner's reward... and so many others.

It's is a very serious project  !

Hi, I have some WAVES that I am thinking of leasing out, but 1 per 1000 is like worse that time deposit rates. :(

I have not leased before so hopefully someone can tell me if there is only one party to lease to? Which is WavesFullNode. Or there are a couple out there.

Leasing, imo, is just a way to tie token supply in the open market, but the reward they are giving is worse than central bankers :(

I have only 14 waves token but I am planning to hold them for one year. I know rewards will be very small but atleast I will earn two three dollars. So please can anyone answer it?

The fee is only charged once per lease.
This fee is for covering the transaction costs.

(With 14WAVES I doubt you can earn even $1 in one year)

Hello Forum,

I have a question about leasing WAVES.  In the leasing tab, there are three categories for the balance.  Regular, effective, and generating.  If I have let's say 250.6 WAVES and I lease 250 to a node, I noticed that my generating balance is only 0.6 WAVES.  So am I generating rewards based on the 250 WAVES leased, or the 0.6 in the "generating" balance??  Thanks to anyone who can answer this, but I would really like to hear from the node operator.

Regular is your original Waves balance you have all the time, you still receive all airdrops, effective is your regular balance + received leases - sent leases, generating is your your effective balance with received and cancelled leases confirmed after 1000 blocks.

Yeah i knew that, but my point was to let your leasers choice if they want to play that fee weekly and receive rewards weekly also, or accumulate rewards for few weeks or even month and pay it 1 time to get all the profits. Waves-NG launches on mainnet

The major new upgrade to our consensus algorithm will be rolled out today and is expected to activate later this month.
Scalability is a concern for any blockchain that aims to be enterprise-ready, and yet few crypto platforms have addressed this satisfactorily. Bitcoin currently struggles along with a capacity of around 3 transactions per second, with Ethereum managing 5 tps. Obviously, such throughput is not enough to support the mass adoption for which Waves was designed.
Over the course of this year, the Waves team has been developing a new consensus algorithm based on Bitcoin-NG, a protocol developed for Bitcoin by Emin Gün Sirer, Co-Director of the Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts at Cornell. Updated for Waves’ proof-of-stake network, Waves-NG is capable of supporting 100 transactions per second — making Waves the fastest decentralised blockchain system in the world.
With the help of the community we have thoroughly tested the new algorithm and it’s now ready to release on mainnet. Activation will be triggered by our new Waves Activation Protocol, which is designed to ensure that activation of features requiring a hardfork occur safely and predictably.
Once nodes have updated with the new version, miners can start setting approval flags in their blocks. After 5,000 blocks (around 3.5 days), the Protocol checks to see how many miners have signalled acceptance of the new features. If a minimum of 4,000 blocks (80%) have approved the fork, it is automatically activated after a further 5,000 blocks.
We have set the hardfork for block 795,000, which is estimated to occur at around midday GMT on Friday 15 December 2017. Voting will end 3.5 days later, on 18 December, and activation will take place on 22 December. All being well, then, we will see Waves-NG up and running before Christmas, alongside a major new upgrade to the wallet. We’ll keep you posted on progress at this very important time in our history!

You must add more rewards to the final numbers if you lease your waves to our node.We are distributing every week 187500 wavesfullnode tokens(WFN) to our lessors. This token is a official on the wavesplatform, you can keep it or trade on the DEX.In the future the owners of WFN will receive more rewards because our node will distribute different tokens to that owners.

I wish I could have more waves. I current have 300 waves and I used your calculator for leasing them to receive rewards. But the result is bad, it only gives my 17 MRT for 1 month of leasing, which means $1-2 only.

Leasing Waves is not a profitable way for me.
I am already leasing few hundreds of waves but receiving only 0.0002 waves per week.
Nor profitable but holding waves is profitable :)

You can cancel a leasing transaction as soon as it is in the blockchain. That happens in about a minute most usually.

That's a very good tutorial. Waves is very cool, but still a few things missing before perfection. One if the possibility of having the wallet's private keyes stored inside a Nano Ledger.

The script that we have and pays the rewards counts the time that you are leasing your Waves. You can lease your tokens for one day then stop the leasing and start a new one in 4 days, you will be rewarded for all the time that your waves are leased.
The only thing that you must consider is that you need 1000 blocks to start to generate new rewards when you lease again.

leasing does not give enough money for me. So i decided to not lease. so i am able to use my coins anytime.
Miners fee is really low on waves platform and this make tx really cheap. but for miners (full nodes or leasers) this is not good.

As far as I know waves is not really decentralised platform. They deleted some tokens before from their "decentralised exchanges" for political reasons. Place with political censorship is actually something what decentralised exchange supposed NOT to be.

Hi there.  So you suggest using the new waves wallet and not the old one?  Will the old one im using now eventually not be anymore?

The old versions of the wallet are outdated and not maintained anymore.
Since the seed is the same for all wallets, you can migrate to the recent one just by importing your seed.

FYI the Nano ledger work with the recent version of the wallet. But as the seed is generated by ledger in that case, you must transfer the funds.

greenmatrix, i have had my waves leased in your wallet for a long time.  I keep it in the old waves wallet via chrome.  If i transfer the waves to the new waves wallet, i dont have to do anything right?


now what if i transfer my waves to the nano ledger s.  Would i still get everything as it is or would i have to lease again?  Also what about those airdrops and other things that i receive just for having waves in my wallet.  I know most of those are fake coins anyway.  Does keeping it in nano ledger mean i don't get it?  But i believe if you use ledger s, you still have to use it with either the old waves wallet or new waves wallet?

1- If you want to transfer your waves to a different address you must cancel your leasing first.If you only wants to work with the new waves wallet you only must import your account with your seed, then you do not cancel your lease.

2- If you tranfer your waves to your ledger you will receive as always the rewards from your leasing on your account all the other coins too.

3- I´m not using the old wallet anymore.

waves is a good potential coin and its price is low in these days its good time to buy and hold its for long time which will give you good profit in future but i will be advice you don't  invest all your money money in single coin.
