Title: Not all GPUs detected by genoil ethminer
Post by: Varlic on May 03, 2017, 03:44:15 PM
Got a problem with my 5 GPU rig that I hope someone can help me with. Bought an MSI Gaming 5 with a view to mining with 5+ GPUs. Running Windows 8.1 Pro x64 with AMD Crimson 16.11.5 and 5 x Radeon RX480. PCI settings are Gen1, 8x4x4 and 96 clock.

After some messing about I have got Windows to detect all cards and they all show in Device Manager along with the build in graphics card.

Running --list-devices, however, only shows 4 out of 5 of the cards.

Anyone seen this before?

This the Bitcoin forum and for several years now that means only ASIC-based rigs.
Please post in the alt-coin sections if you want useful answers from people using your equipment.

Run linux. Try ethOS or SimpleMiningOS.

Running Windows 8 is your problem.
