Title: NEM (XEM)
Post by: Red_Sanford on May 03, 2017, 07:51:02 PM
I have just recently started to follow this coin. 1 Billiion coins. Massive spike in the price this past month. Many people are talking about it yet I am having a hard time wrapping my head around what exactly if offers. Is this just a pump and dump or should I throw a few $ in now and let it ride

Definitely not just a pump and dump, technically one of the best projects out there. The fundamentals are right so it's one of the best ones to buy and hold.

Is there much room for growth though? There are currently a circulating supply of 8,999,999,999 XEM.

That's a good thing, will make it actually useful as a currency rather than some speculative asset.

I have been following them and their growth is not a pump and dump because XEM is a good project, people behind this project are accurately working to make this coin more powerful in the crypto world. XEM has developed many features where it is going to be user interactable. Eco bit is conducting an ICO and they are accepting XEM as one of their payment method in the market.

Quite possibly the best tech out there right now... Just needs some more companies backing it to gain the popularity of ethereum.  I'd definitely buy this 500m coin over the 8B ETH.

Oh I have a feeling there will be many bag holders of this once the prices start to tank... like they always do...

True, but you have to keep your coins when bagholders dump their coins. A good coin like this always recovers soon afterwards

I can't really say NEM is pump and dump when you compare the price to other projects, the strnght of NEM comes from the strong community behind the project and they recently voted on record keeping project similar to what Factom is doing, I think the price will still go higher soon

This coin is one of best coins here, but it is already quite high valuated. Its BTC price has already went up about 150x from bottom. I was stakeholder with 2 250 000 XEM, but I sold almost all for about 1000 $. Big mistake.

Not realistic right now but buy now and wait 2-3 years to see your 1$ per xem :)

everyone here is saying it's one of the best coins but nobody seems able to explain what it actually does?  all these coins websites read the same, so maybe someone can lay it out nice and simple.

google is your friend.  There's a huge thread on BTC in the announcement forum. It's an evolution on bitcoin to address bitcoin's shortcomings. A private version of the blockchain called Mijin which is based on the upcoming Catapult release is being developed by various banks in Japan also.

Watch this video.. it's a basic intro to the coin. Check the forums. Do your own DD.

Absolutely no one doesn't seem to give a shit about NEM.

Why on earth is it worth 1 billion?

Because it's being pumped like everything else.

However you might be wrong about shits being given. The difference is that almost all shits are taking place in Asia, not the West. They have fiat trading pairs, are building business relationships and most of the community action happens there too.

If you're English speaking only you'd be right to consider it a relative obscurity.
