Title: Looking into Blockchain
Post by: Continuous on May 04, 2017, 12:26:39 AM
Heya all,

I currently have a lot of free-time on me and I've been getting a few project ideas involving Blockchain and signing registries.

Looking for guidance on where to turn myself to. Which books to read, which good tutorials you might already know, etc!

Help would be extremely appreciated, thank you!

A good book you should read is called "Blockchain Revolution" by Don and Alex Tapscott.
I haven't finished it myself yet but good so far.

Thank you for the share, I'll definitely have it downloaded and read it through!

Read up how the blockchain and Bitcoin actually works on a technical level. Bitcoin.org has a lot of documentation about it here: https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-documentation

What do you have in mind exactly as to if you were to do a project then people were using it for what?
Can you explain more about the use case of the project you have in mind?
I don't know if academic community has ever showed interest on studying blockchain technology and if there are some books about it they're not backed by scientific-mathematicians experts.

BTW, blockchain is only interesting if a decentralized and open source project such as BTC-ETH is launched on it and so far people are using it or rather copy pasting it to create useless altcoins, I haven't yet seen any good projects other than the both mentioned above.

It is very related to Factom's model.

I'll be using the links and the book provided above for now.

Extremely appreciated for the help, thank you!

Closing now.
