I'm one of the programmers that worked on the E4ROW project

Basically there are 3 parts: games, an escrow contract, and a token contract.

    * Players bet ETH on the games -- and their bets are escrowed by the E4ROW Escrow contract
    * The Escrow contract pays the "pot" to the winner of the game, but keeps a 2% escrow fee
    * The Escrow contract passes the collected fees to the Token contract
    * The Token contract splits up the collected fees to the token holders.

 Some notable features:
    * First game (Uncle Finney's Poker) is already live (https://www.unclefinneyspoker.com/) . Has over 700 games played
    * Several payouts already made to token holders.
    * Contracts and Game source code on github.
    * Token Contract pays dividends to token holders in perpetuity
    * Token holders can withdraw there accumulated profits at any time. Even multiple times per day.
    * 90% of funds raised in token-sale returned to investors if proof-of-functionality usage threshold not met within 90 days
    * Developer tokens locked for 1 year
    * Investor funds returned to investors if 5,000 tokens are not sold by the end of the ICO

I read through the mediums and websites and decided to invest in this project.

i like the mission of the project....

I invested in this project from the first hour of ICO (found out about this project on smith&crown).

I like the way smart-contract is designed, also it passed independent audit. Already received dividends twice and tried to withdraw them successfully.

Good thing is the more games are played and the bigger the MAU/DAU of the project, the bigger are dividends, since more money go through their escrow contract.

Yeah, I would like to stress out that in case crowdsale does not hit min cap of 5000eth, 100% of invested ether will be retuned, that's hardcoded into the contract. For me, it's not really clear from the given description. You may also return 90% of invested ETH in case less than 5000 games are played in 90 days

Hi I just invested in this ICO. I suggest to invest for the following reasons:

1. If the ICO will not reach 5000 ETH, you will be refunded fully
2. There is another proof of efficiency that will refund you for 90%, if not enough games are played in a certain time
3. If the ICO closes with few more than 5000 tokens, you can have a decent share with only few token/ether, Imagine then  if the concept works and the ROI you can potentially have...

It is a very simple and brilliant concept, it's already working and giving dividends. They need funds to push on marketing and for developing other games/app.

The minimum target is 5000, the max 200000. I think, if they reach the minimum, they will be from 5000 to 10000.

Beware, this token is good for receiving dividends so it suited for who wants a regular income of ehereum, depending on the project income.

If you want a trade game, there are plenty of other coins around although it's a erc20 token so it is transferable.

This project is a hidden gem. I've seen the lead dev's quality post in /r/ethereum, but for some reason never really gets much visibility.

They're probably the only ones that have a live working product before starting ICO!

yeah, it's a hiddden gem, all is needed is to somehow catch attention of whales. The are lots of crypto meetups in Israel. Maybe you should attend and post press release with photos?

No the dividend is inferior to 0.014, it's expressed in wei. I think you should divide them for 10^18.

But consider, that from what i understood:

- that now there is only 1 game and no marketing actions have been done, so with more games and more plays dividends
will increase
- with an amount of coin of about 5.000 your share is bigger with respect to other ICOs where tokens are millions;
- that i purchased tokens few days ago;
- that you will have perpetual rights to dividends;
- that if they don't reach 5.000 tokens you will be refunded

But where from here? How can I see the contribution amount so far? When will i see my first dividends? How many times weekly/monthly am I advised to withdraw those dividends and settle them as ether on my MEW balance?

Maybe at least give it a quick brush-up. Put some images / screencaps from the website in the OP. Like the Coin Logo and the poker app screenshots. Don't go too big on the logo. Guys' mission is to bring Ethereum to the wide public and demonstrate it's power in action. They accomplish it by actually demonstrating that p2p games like poker could be done in a fully decentralised manner, where every participant of the network could verify each play round step by step. This approach guarantees pure random nature and excludes any possibility of fraud. In the past that would require some sort of trusted authority, that would certainly take it's edge as well (casino).

Unlike other ICOs (initial coin offerings), guys have already produced working app (Uncle Finney's Poker) on Android OS and actual ethereum escrow contract prior to raising single wei (smallest divisible part of Ether) of funds. UFP is the first in the roadmap and many more games/apps are to come.

It's much wider than that. The UFP app above serves as a showcase of E4ROW & Ethereum possibilities for a possible non-ether user thus increasing Ethereum overall reach and adoption.

Any app that require conditional escrow functionality can use E4ROW contract, it just happened to be that games, and especially head-to-head casino-like games allow to showcase it in a most intuitive and fun way. (earning dividends for token holders along the way  ;) )

Can this smart contract be used for non-gambling applications?  For example, an escrow service for off blockchain trading (think Local Bitcoins or status.im project)?  

Edit: also... like seriously why doesn't this project have any traction?  I'm baffled.  Compared to many other ICOs right now, this is head and shoulders above the others.  I hope it makes the minimum funding...

I have a question concerning ICO.

We are now at 3019 eth contributed and the goal is 5000. 3 days left... So it seems the devs wont get there... but then again, ether just jumped 20% so dollar wise they are further and might even collect the original dollar amount requested, even if the 5000 eth is not reached..

I just hope they continue regardless of the final number as they have received a ton of money by now; should be sufficient to develop and launch whatever they have in mind, no?

As I've heard from the devs Wix (hosting provider for UFP), terminated the service recently. Probably because of strict regulation of online gambling in Israel. Devs commited to change hosting provider after the ICO.

I think Dev who stated the topic doesn't have enough rep to post screenshots in OP post, since bitcointalk is the first experience for the team. although I agree it would be nice.  Google Play is in the works as I've heard, but it's too early to jump to conclusions.

BTW, just broke 100 ETH in escrowed amount, that's 2 ETH in dividends, that were distributed among investors.

Probably team is not that good in PR and marketing, but I like their engineering approach. I think nobody can deny: there is a working product (app) as a POC, contract, dividends are being payed out regularly to the investors, and that's even before raising single wei of funds. Every bit of code is open-sourced, everybody can go and check it, unlike many of those shady-scam ICOs (e.g. recent ZETH scam). There is a full Bio of the founder David B. Rose. In fact the  project is a hidden gem.

Now imagine what they can do having a bit of funding. Certainly hire a good marketing team.

It doesn't look like it's going to make it as it needs over 1,700 more tokens.  $140-150 per token is a lot.  Will you do another ICO further down the line if this doesn't pan out?

on the one hand this sucks as this seems such a promising investment, on the other hand no problem sending me all those ethers back with these price gains

As you can see in etherscan IcoCheckup() function was called and did exaclty that (released 10% of funds) to cover operating costs connected with ICO and support continuous development. Now need to prove functionality with 5000 games in 90 days to release the remaining 90%. If not, investors can make refund request to return 90% of invested Ether (as 10% has already been released right after successful sale). This step, if ever happens, will be voluntary.

no I am not positive any more. progress is very slow and their product is a prototype right now. i dont know how it will look like at launch.
