What is going on with the price?!

It seems to explode.

It's has crossed 1600 plus per Btc . Not sure the rate at which it is increasing seems that at same pace it may even fall . So be cautious and sell it if you hold any Btc .

Buy more because the price will continue to rise. Sell some at a higher price for profit. Hodl the rest for long term higher prices.

It is wrong to sell now unless you are in for some short term profit and you are hoping the price to go down again (which I don't think it will). If you are not for a short time profit the best is to wait as price of bitcoin in the longer run can only go up.

I'm going to HODL for a number of years still. If we crash I will buy more.

You're basically just telling him to do everything.  The market is in a weird state where reason and fundamentals mean nothing.  Buying and selling, unless you're an extremely good analyst, is not going to help.

It all depends at what your goal is - if you need to buy something with BTC and are going to spend the coins right away, the price doesn't really matter too much as long as you buy it and spend it right away.

The worst time to make any investment is when there is a lot of fluctuation (up or down) as you will never "time" it right ie buy at the lowest point and sell at the highest.

If you are a long term investor then what you should do is "dollar cost average" that is say you have $1000 to invest you make equal investments over time so you are catching the ups and downs, say buy $100 worth every other day.

Well, the eth crazy train major news will end in about 2 months, assuming no more of them pop out. Which means the amount of people who buy BTC to get into ETH, because not every exchange accepts fiat deposits, will slow down and the btc surge will slow down too. If no major crash for the whole scene happens, by then eth will be worth over 10bil usd.
Bitcoin will also increase but not as % much.

Nothing is not going to increase forever but so far there is nothing to stop the rally.  

If you convert the price to in unit of mBTC, it is only $1.60/mBTC. LTC was about $4/LTC and it is now about $25/LTC... So it might go much further. If you can afford, buy is still a strong recommendation.

It's up to you if you can afford. No person here can tell you the exact and right thing to do. Face the risk and see what will be the result. This is an investment after all.

At best I can say you have to hold and even buy if you can.As we are seeing the market is really on a race on who knows for how long it will continue to be.BTC is in a strong position right now and it seems like it will be for quite a while so holding seems like the best option

It is funny... I did ETH Mining about 1 year ago... I mined ~2 ETH/day... and sold them for like 14$ each..  I am so stupid :(

It's very surprising how steady the price rises have been.  The Coindesk BPI (http://www.coindesk.com/price/) has shown a consistent rise in the last few days.

There might well be a correction soon, but this is no pump.  Buying wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.  Personally, I would just wait and see but I certainly wouldn't sell quite yet.

It would seem that bitcoin's destination is at the top. Every single day we can see an increase on bitcoin's price. This just indicates that the demand for bitcoin is constantly increasing over time and, maybe, the number of bitcoin user is constantly increasing as well.


Well from time to time I look at my btc wallet and surprise myself in seeing bitcoin price increase. I could watch it all day  ;D


That is for persons that can afford to buy bitcoin. As we can see, bitcoin value is too high and I cannot even afford half of it. So as for now, I am trying to earn some and of course hold them and wait for it's value to increase more just like most of us are expecting.

You really can't say don't ever sell. Again, you never can know when price will drop. It can be at any time. It may even be at a time when you think price will hit the roof like now. I think buying, holding or selling should depend on the market dynamics.

I did the same with Bitcoin when the price was like $250 and I thought that Bitcoin is crashing to the oblivion. You are not the only one.
Don't be bitter about it, if you managed to earn profit at that time it is still fine.

We can hope that price of BTC after next halving will reach 4 digits. You still can buy and hold cheap bitcoin, don't make the same mistake twice.

I do it all the time because Bitcoin's example for me is earnings. I earn it and sell it, changing it for real money. If I counted how much I lost due to the fact that I did not save Bitcoin on my wallet, I probably would have gotten a decent condition.

the price is breaks out and the price is increase more high than before, i will only hold my total of bitcoin because i am sure that bitcoin will always increase from now on. i think if i want to buy bitcoin, i will wait for a while until i see that bitcoin price is down into deep but i think we don't fall until $1k range but maybe its more than $1k so this will make many people happy to see the correction of the price.

Whether you show interest on buying, selling or holding users will be surely profited. Buy more and hold for some big target of your own. Because I am not going to suggest some big targets like $5k or $10k but when more number of people will be doing one single thing then we can definitely reach our dream targets. If you believe into bitcoin and its future then do not sell but buy more and also recommend people to buy and hold.

If you are not looking for short term benefits and you will be ready to hold even you face losses with your bitcoin investment, over time you may get unbelievable benefits just for the reason of your HODLing !

Having 'good trust' in Bitcoin doesn't give you any sort of advantage. If you want to optimally benefit from each and every aspect of Bitcoin's market, you need to understand how the market works at first. It requires time and effort, and even losses to develop a good level of market understanding. Skills matter, and pays off in the long run -- trust doesn't do anything in that regard.

I agree, skills matter, knowledge, strategy all of them matters but it won't benefit you if you do not buy or trade bitcoins.  Application of what we knew is always better than just theoretical knowledge.

As for me, I will hold bitcoin as long as I can assuming there is no urgent need to convert it to fiat currency.  Bitcoin is getting rarer each day, having more people adopting it in day to day basis. Plus the fact that bitcoin is destined to reduce its reward (this means supply from mining is ever decreasing until there is none ).  This means the price will definitely increase as time goes by.

Buying and holding are things I am already doing as I am very much confident that bitcoin may reach $5000 levels very soon. If it will be reaching $2000 levels within May month then why not we can expect $5000 before end of this month and holding till end of this year may not be a big deal for any trader/investor.

Everything can be assumed, very different, and it seems to me that in most cases it will be earnings that will depend on the quality of trade, and not because of the exchange rate.

You should make yourself updated of the current happening of what you are trading not only on the quality of trade.  It can be faked :D and it has been seen many times people making fake volume or some temporary Buy wall.  I also favor in holding  because i believe price will still increase.

You need to be able to deal with this kind of fraud in a legal way, because otherwise you can not name it.

For my standpoint, just buy and hold bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Buy more as your money can afford it. The more cryptocurrency you have the more money you can earn. It's an asset. If you sold it, then you might regret it. If you hold it then buy if you have a huge amount of money, that's good. You have a right decision.

I don't think so. This time SEC can consider Bitcoin ETF with more seriously. The percentage for the bitcoin ETF gets another disapproval by SEC is very high.

All of them is the best thing to do right now.  Buy when the price goes a little.bit down and sell it when the price goes up. Save your profit and  use your capital to buy again. Rinse and repeat = profit.

how can you say that trust with bitcoin does nothing? if you invested in bitcoin in for example 2010 and trusted it all along you could have made massive money just by holding it and in the future the price is going to keep on going up because of the interest of people and constantly happening halvings of block reward. If you are not into daily trading or not into other cryptos then just buy bitcoins and sit tight waiting for you massive profits to kick in, if you are a little bit more adventurous invest in the growing cryptos, do investigation which ones have great technologies and pump your money into them, in this way you can make even more money than holding bitcoins, the key is to never sell if you don't need that fiat.

If you are looking for short term profits then it will be risk to buy them at current price as price can even go lower in coming days so you need to wait for a long time but if you can manage to hold them for a long term the you can afford to buy them even at the current price as price will go higher in long term.

Hold it if you have it, and it gets better if you invest. It might also be great to buy for now, because it's possible that bitcoin prices will go up at $ 2000 by the end of the year, so it's great that you have a lot of bitcoins at that time

Price has gone bit lower in past few days so I think it can go even lower in coming days so its good to wait for some more days to buy as present price is not affordable to many people to make an investment so the best thing would be to hold the coins and wait for the right time to buy or sell them.

For ethereum it's kinda late to buy, but it's never too late. ETH is supposed to go $200. Also i suggest to take a look in ripple, to buy now and hold them.

Not buying at a moment, sold few of them yesterday as I was in need of money and rest I am holding for future as price is expected to go higher as time passes as even experts are speculating that the price will touch $2k in this year so that would be the perfect time to sell them.

i agree with you that its right time to hold your bitcoin because price of bitcoin going to higher and all bitcoin users are sure that bitcoin price will be rise to $2k in coming few months and you are right we can get a good profit if we hold our bitcoin and do not spend it on shopping so i prefer that hold is good for us right now.

Good choices but buying more can gives you more profit if you buy more bitcoin since the price of bitcoin is gradually increase monthly and i think the price of bitcoin can be touch $2k value since bitcoin is now legal in japan more price increase will happen this year..

I think there is no risk in bitcoin its still profitable even you are buying in the high price because the price can be still possible to increase more just like other said the price can be increase until $2,000 value so if you buy right now you can be still make a profit every time the price is increase..
This is not the same as altcoin that increase today and dump sooner..

Yes bitcoin is a long term player and will never disappear with an blink of an eye which is mostly case with majority of newly launched altcoins so if you are in position to hold your bitcoins longer then you can afford to buy them even at the current price as price will surely go higher in the end of the year.

If you don't see any risks in investing in Bitcoin, then you're not a trader/investor yourself, or you see this as something you do just for the fun. I missed the selling of my coins so for now I need more patience to hold it until it reaches again the all time high price of this month. I know it will go higher again after the falling down so keep yourself updated on the news. My advice is to hold now.

I would say that it would best for everyone to hold the bitcoins for a good amount of time as the price of bitcoins is steadily increasing and sell your bitcoins when the price of bitcoins would be more than 2500$,well then it would be the best time for bitcoins to sell it.

I will say hold bitcoin if you do not need money yet.  Keep it safe and keep on buying if you have extra money.  You will see the great effect of your action through earning a lot of money when you decide to convert your BTC to fiat currency.

Mind explaining why you think we'll see the price touch the $2000 mark in a matter of weeks? I'm fairly sure that you base it on the speed and intensity of the recent increase.

Don't forget that the $2000 mark is an important psychological barrier. It will take insane amounts of buying power combined with the intensity of the previous bull run to come even close to that level.

After that you have to break through that mark. And after that you need all buy support available to keep the price there for even 24 hours. Things don't come easy in Bitcoin.

If it appears that bitcoin will continue to rise then I would buy more bitcoin if ever I have enough money to do it so then I'll hold it at the same time and wait for it to reach much higher price, I haven't experienced to get a profit from holding bitcoins and I don't have much amount of it so it will be great for me to experience it .

There is a saying where it is said that if I knew where I would fall, I would necessarily put something soft on that place. That's why unequivocally no one can know Whether Bitcoin prices will drop or not And no one can say with certainty how this situation will work.

I think hold is the best option.  It is too expensive to buy bitcoin and it is too cheap to sell it since price will be increasing.  But if you have spare money then buy and hold.  Events and news about bitcoin adoption is everywhere.  Major company of some countries are going into bitcoin.  With fresh funds coming in, I believe bitcoin will continue to increase in price.

The price looks stagnant and it looks like it will soon drop, I suggest to immediately sell all existing bitcoin because another week the price will drop under $1500.

The truth is that will happen most of the time and you should be ready on what choices you will pick and should decide bravely without regret to whatever might happen. If you cant then just hold for now.

I prefer the buy and sell tactic or the trading business.
It is much easier when you get the hang of it.
Just focus on analyzing one altcoin then try to see the volume and other stuff about it. The feafures also, will it be inviting to people that they will get hooked and invest in it.
Buy alt then sell back to bitcoin. Keep doing it and you might end up getting good profits weekly.

Lot users now have the fear of missing out the ATH. Based on this users just try to sell, but in reality it's good to hold the bitcoin for a longer time period. It's been predicted that depending upon the adoption as well increasing usage with respect to time the price move will happen. So surely price will continue to be on the uptrend even after fluctuations.
