Title: How to find an investor for my project?
Post by: luckyminority on May 05, 2017, 03:38:11 PM
I've made an App.

It is already online in App-store and available in android version.

I need to find partners good at operating and distribution, is there a platform you recommend?

I want the app to be known by some potential investors? where can I find these people?

Thank you in advance.

What exactly your project? It's need more details to attract the investors.
I see the site have Chinese language, start to post in local board, you can post in the forum which have a market related to your project, also you can held crowd funding, you can start to post into indiegogo site or bnktothefuture site, AFAIK that's the sites which have good credibility related to crowd funding.

Good day!

I saw the link of your App as posted here and seems like it will attract more Chinese investors because of the language or dialect used in there. May I suggest that to attract more investors that are not limited to one race, you have to make it a point that the default language or dialect can be easily translated to various languages or dialects. There should be sort of a button where interested people can click in their language or dialect preference. This way, you will not be having a hard time getting investors from different parts of the world.

I hope it helps your cause!

Well. You have already narrowed down the market using Chinese only version.Maybe make the main site in English to know what the app is all about.Don't worry if your app is only targeted to only the Chinese market,in that case head to the Chinese Section of the forum and look for investors. There are slime chances of a non-chinese investor showing interest in your app due to communication issues.Btw,you can always scale your app if the idea is great.

My apologies but I have no idea what this website / project is about. I went onto the website but there is hardly any information and I cant read the text that is written in another language. I would love to learn more about this project so I can provide a more informed reply to your request.

You need investors or users who download/install and use the app? There is a big difference.
How can your app be monetized?
I assume that you need people who invest in the advertising of  your app and you share the profits.
I`m not sure that this will work.

How could you get some investor if you doesn't state on what is the concept of you app and what is the used of it maybe you should put some little clarifaction so that we can see if it is worth to spend some. But im so sure that you will get a hardtime to find some investors since at the first place you doesn't have any good reputation in here aswell as people might think that this project is scam since the critical info is missing in your post.

Well, usually when investor is needed you need money to start/finish your project. As we can see you already completed your app, so what you need now is promotion.
It is hard to tell more about this app of yours, your site has very minimalistic design and is not fully in English - this should be your first step: if you want to find new users for your app translate your site to English.

You need official distribution channel - Google Play Store, Appstore. Direct download from your site is not enough.

If your project would be useful for user then it would have been created a good platform, which is important to attract the intention of investment. Usually Every investor seeks the best Field in which they can earn tactically money or other type of output. So your app should be friendly as well as useful then investor will find you.

The seed investors don't wanna see anything.Remember the people who were early investors of twitter and dropox didn't give two shits about the product's development phase at that period of time. They did something called as quasi-investment,investing in the team rather than the product. If the idea is big, team is dedicated, investors throw money in blindly.

What will you be using the investment for? Do you have plans to monetise the app? If you can prove that you have a consistent user base and can bring in a considerable amount of revenue then finding investors should be easy. That being said you need to know how much you're looking to raise and outline exactly what you'll use the investment for.

You need help for 2 things based on your request.

1, you need the app to be downloaded by many people - this can be achieved in 2 ways, paid method through http://welcome.freemyapps.com etc just search google for more. The other way is free but requires efforts and time, a website might be needed including seo marketing.
The first way is very fast but does not retain but the second way is very slow and retain in as much that your app is good.

2, You need investor for your app - i am sorry, i do not know of any.

If you didn't need crowdfunding since the app have been already launched then I think you are having problems on marketing it to attract people do download and use and as been mentioned its mostly Chinese which means you need to post or market on Chinese section on this forum and anywhere which would be a good spot for advertisement.Goodluck
