Title: Proper way to overclock rx 470? Post by: jpoker272727 on May 05, 2017, 06:26:25 PM I'm currently only experimenting with mining and just started, bought a MSI RX 470 and i'm running it on my PC where I recently bought an SSD to run it smoother.
I'm getting 15.94 - 19.92 MH/s but I believe that it can go higher, how to get more MH/s and to stay safe? Thank you... Title: Re: Proper way to overclock rx 470? First off, there's no need to get an SSD, a $10 hard drive or even a decent flash drive would probably be fine :) Are you using Windows? There's a ton of information out there on how to properly set clock speeds in WattTool or flashing the card with AtiFlash (I almost said AtiTool, I feel old now). Yes I'm using Windows 10 64bit the latest version, I tried with HDD but the blockchain got corrupted many times don't know if this was the issue. Don't know for sure if MSI AfterBurner is the right tool to increase the performance of the RX 470!!? Title: Re: Proper way to overclock rx 470? Post by: Jdope on May 05, 2017, 10:46:54 PM What software are you mining on? You should definitely get more than that even without over clocking. First try to experiment with msi afterburner, underclock the core and overclock the memory frequency, try to balance it for maximum hashrate and stability, something around 1050-1100 core and 1850-1950 memory can be good if your card is not Samsung, Samsung cards are known to be much more overclockable. After that you can try modding your rom if you feel comfortable.
