Title: Avalon ASIC Chip PCB Design Post by: JDDev on April 29, 2013, 06:18:45 AM As I'm a newbie I figured I'd ask some newbie questions ;D
So, I'm pretty interested in purchasing some Avalon ASIC chips, however I haven't been able to find too much on if there are existing PCB designs and software that could be used for mining with these. What are other people doing about this? I have the ability to print (mill) prototype PCB designs and could test them if anybody is developing a design and software. Are any companies selling affordable boards that will house these chips? All the solutions I've been seeing are not much better than buying a GPU system in terms of initial cost (though the power requirements of those systems would obviously be much lower).
