I think people just dont understand how it contributes to science, they probably just think a percentage is donated or something and not that it is in fact your computing power which helps with scientific problems. Personally I think this coin will make a few early investors millionaires in the coming year or 2.

Dev team need to make this project more comfortable for using so that new road map should be launched for it.
