Title: Minimum sum of eth to sell
Post by: kryptqnick on May 07, 2017, 03:13:14 PM
Perhaps this thread should belong to some other topic but I am not sure where it fits. A couple of days ago I wanted to convert some of my ethereum to bitcoin. To be more precise, I wanted to sell 0.015 eth for btc. I went on Poloniex, Coinbase and some other website but everywhere I had to face the same problem: min sum is 0.5 eth. Is it true? Ethereum is now nearly $100. I really can't sell less than 50$? If I'm wrong could somebody give me a link to the site where one can sell 0.01+ of eth for btc? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I wish I could help you but I'm also in the same boat as you as I only have 0.45 ETH that I was going to transfer to one of the exchanges but noticed that they only take 0.5 ETH. Like you I also thought that now ETH is close to $90 today that we could send smaller amounts like BTC so I'm also hoping that someone on here can help as I have tried Polo,Bittrex and even C-cex, not sure about Yobit though as I don't really trust them with my crypto currencies.

I just checked shapeshift, they also have a minimum limit of way more large amount that you are willing to convert, it's 0.076 ether.

Will also check yobit when reach my home.

Does anyone know why it is so? Is it related to some transaction fees? But I guess there's no way they can be that high that one can't withdraw small sums of ethereum! Eth wouldn't be that popular if that was the case.

0.076 eth is actually fine, thanks! I'll check out this website.
I was wrong when I said I wanted to convert 0.015 of eth. I actually meant 0.15, which at that time was 15$ (the price I spent to buy ethereum). I guess I'll wait till the price is $100 again and will try doing that.
