Title: Suspicious Loan Request
Post by: uMMcQxCWELNzkt on April 29, 2013, 04:26:51 PM
A couple of days ago I lent 1BTC to a member on the forum although some were suspicious of the transaction. Anyway today a new JR Member sent a private message to me which I have listed below. I am not sure if this is a user I have dealt with before or perhaps a new scammer who thinks I will go for the scam. Although the deal does not interest me I asked for the ID just to get an idea of whether or not he would provide it which he has. The documents look authentic I guess but as they are US docs I am not familiar with, I cant tie the ID to the user "F" either lol. Investigating further I did a info check on the domain he provided, the registrant of which is listed as "Smith, Maria" while his email and ID states "Jonathon Coleman", he did send the email from admin@sickexchange.com though.

I am not interested in the loan request even without the risk involved but I wanted to share this just in case he has send private messages to other members.

With the username of "F", I think this is the same as the username "." - a scammer.

"." sent me the following PM< which is identical to yours.

Interesting, this pretty much confirms a scam as the structure and terminology are to close. I am not sure how to notify mods but it seems the user F needs to be looked into.

That website looks like it was put together in 5 mins.  It's certainly not an exchange.

Anyway, that domain can now be considered a scam as well.  :)
