I dont understand why. web version with metamask is fine tough. I'm using mist (last version). Already registered a name. However, after that it started to freeze when I open ENS dapp in Mist.

I think it demonstrates to some extent that people might actually be interested in building services (or at least be willing to make a commitment by paying large sums to secure their address/names) on top of Ethereum rather than just speculating on the currency.

A kind of gold rush like you see in altcoins right now. Actually I once owned zuckerberg.com and .net. Then I saw an email form a guy named Marc who had a strange website for students only called "thefacebook.com" in my spam folder. He wanted to buy these domains because this was his lastname. At that time I was happy to sell it to someone. ...the rest is history... :-(
