Title: Bitmixer Transaction not confirmed?
Post by: H01Dave on May 10, 2017, 02:28:30 PM
Hi, I recently began tumbling my bitcoin, the service i always have used was bitmixer.io it seemed very good and fast and had a lot of features and properly 1 of the best reputations
i have made 2 past transactions with them, everything went fine their.. Perfect..

But sadly last night i decided to tumble 150 dollars in bitcoins with them, and it looks like my transaction isnt being verified.. The strange thing is the fee i set for the miners isnt low, its normal: "120.628 sat/B"
here: https://blockchain.info/tx/4db726564bf1a581f301eecf77254e6a6471991d1ea05f30e5f3de9fd7d89391

Now the massive problem for me is, i only have 24 hours for my transaction to be verified since, the address they gave me is only valid for 24 hours...
I sendt them the money at "23:21:25" i then decided to watch a movie or 2, i checked if it was verified every hour for 3 hours.. then i went to bed, next morning i checked and it was still not verified.. i huried up and emailed support, and messaged bitmixer on bitcoinTalk, in a PM.. it sadly seems he hasent been online on the forum for multiple months.. So all i can do is hope they reply to my email in time,

A thing that really pisses me off is that he states hes support replies every 10 30 minutes 24-7... its been a few hours since i sent them the email..

Btw this was from the original website.. Bitmixer.io... not the scam site Bitmix.io
Here is a screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/YmH1a

Btw some strange reason i cant get my bitmixer code to work.. It didnt work on the following...
My phone, my phone tor browser, my computer google chrome and my computer tor browser. But i think this is just a bug.. Since when i press enter in the field of the bitmixer code it goes down and decides instead to add another forward address..? Try for urselves, maybe its just me.

...

I too use bitmixer.io, and am very happy with them.  Their fees are pretty low compared to almost everyone else, and the service works great (other than the problem you raise, keep reading).

But, sometimes their outgoing payments do get delayed because they do not pay a high fee.

I would suggest that you use ViaBTC's acceleration service, at least while they still offer it...!  Try this, but they only accept 100 transactions per hour, so get in early (I try to get mine in withing two minutes after the "top of the hour"):

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

Perhaps paying bitmixer.io a little more fee might help?  I will try to ask them sometime.  Or perhaps another reader here would?  Maybe bitmixer would speed up their service if we customers pay a bit more...

EDIT: I just sent them a PM about offering a quicker service for customers paying a higher fee.  We'll see how they might respond.  Remember they are a BUSINESS, and businesses sometimes cannot just change their internal processes fast (our business just can't change certain things fast or even at all).

Thank you so much for your answer and ur recomendation :)
I will differently check ViaBTC out..
Btw you state their transaction fee, what fee do they have to pay to receive the money? I know the sender has to pay a miners fee, is this the same fee they have to pay when they recieve? Or is this the fee you can personaly choose yourself?
Im still wondering, what will happen with my 150 dollars ? umm i mean support hasent ansvared yet? should i expect to loose the money.. Orr? should i expect them to fix it.. Or will it fix automaticaly?

Even you tried the viabtc accelerator which is the link was given already by the post above but as can you see this backlog of unconfirmed transactions which is more than 100k https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions which is really shocking, and this is the first time I've seen this huge backlog of unconfirmed transactions. So you can wait until 3-5 days until your transaction confirms or maybe viabtc accelerator can do about that, I hope so.

From what I have heard it is no longer sufficient to send your btc with a 120sat/b fee because with the current state of all unconfirmed transaction, you need atleast 200+ sat/b to get your transaction in front of the queue . Like what they have said, you can try using viabtc acceleration tool and hope that you're transaction gets included in the next block and that your receiving bitmixer is still valid before it gets confirmed. Sending bitmixer a request about may also help and they may still make the address valid for this case. Lauda is currently the campaign manager of bitmixer and he's working with them so maybe he can also help you reach bitmixers support for this issue.

Lauda can't help you because she is just a campaign manager not a delivery boy :D don't worry if you keep your code even if the address as you say expires they will refund you, coins are not lost.
Currently we need to pay 240sat/B as a norm.

Also BitMixer always sends their transactions with 200+sat/B it was your own doing to send with 120sat/B that's how blockchain.info tricks people to lower the overall fees.

Oh well.. I already messaged him, are u 100% sure i get refunded if the money goes through after the 24 hours??
Also i want you to note that i had completly no idea what this bitcoin miner fee was, so obviously i keep it automaticaly set to whatever it was, But i will differently know from now on to put it a bit higher :)

This website might come handy while deciding the bitcoin fees : https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
The coins get dropped off the mempool, yes they'll fall back into your wallet. As others suggested, try that transaction accelerating tool.

No,when you manage a campaign for a particular company, you indirectly represent the company.Even if they're unable to help you, they would certainly tell you what to do.

But i emailed them 2 emails telling them to keep the email up for longer time as my money hasent been confirmed.. Sadly no response yet..
I got 1 hour left till the bitcoin address i should have sent to gets deleted, will i have any way of getting my money back if the address gets deleted.. Should i double spend maybe, and add the fee higher when i do so??

It seems like a lot!! of people are having this problem today and yesterday: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/53224/need-a-miner-pool-member-for-confirmation-will-pay-for-it/53246#53246

Currently viabtc has reached it's limit but I will immediately add transaction when there will be free place, maybe in half an hour.
Your last chanse is to use https://pushtx.btc.com/ and put transaction id 4db726564bf1a581f301eecf77254e6a6471991d1ea05f30e5f3de9fd7d89391
Remember, you have to pay 3.33$ plus transaction fee. Do this quickly, maybe it will help you and I'll try my best to help and add your transaction in viabtc.

I figured I might just respond here as someone may learn a thing or two regarding Bitmixer and the network.

No. A lot of people do not know how to use Bitcoin, more specifically, they don't know how to adjust and use the proper fees. That being said, it is too late for me to even attempt anything regarding this TX (but I shall contact you regardless). There are two possible outcomes:
1) The transaction goes through (after the 24 hours have passed on Bitmixer).
2) The transaction does not confirm and eventually gets 'dropped' by the network.

As for the first case: If you've been using Bitmixer properly, then you should be fine. What does this mean? If you have downloaded and verified the letter of guarantee, then you are fine. You can contact Bitmixer support and they can manually solve this with it. Keep in mind that they are not likely going to answer via PM here, and that getting an answer from support takes some time.
As for the second case: We can create and broadcast another transaction which sends your money elsewhere.

Currently viabtc has reached it's limit but I will immediately add transaction when there will be free place, maybe in half an hour.

Do not do this. The user seems to not have the letter of guarantee.

oh, you came here on a good time because I was going to do that. Does this means that your hope is that it won't get confirmed and bitcoins will be back?
OP remember what lauda said, when you are making 150$ worth transaction, let's take at least that shit 1$ and feel yourself calm.

I am not entirely sure what happens when a user does not have a letter of guarantee and the 24 hour notice expires. In this case, I am hoping that it just doesn't confirm at all/we spend to somewhere else. If it does end up confirming, I do wonder how Bitmixer is going to resolve it. This could provide us with good information for future cases.

OP remember what lauda said, when you are making 150$ worth transaction, let's take at least that shit 1$ and feel yourself calm.
It is my assumption that the user is using a wallet which I'd consider quite bad (e.g. Blockchain.info) for various reasons.

I did the transaction from my phone, i keept the bitmixer code.. And went on my computer to download the letter of guarantee.. But it dosent seem to work.. I tried putting in the code from.. 1 My phone 2 my computer.. and i did both with different browsers.. I just recorded a video to proof that im unable to enter my bitmixer code
When i go to press enter after i entered the code.. It goes down and creates a new bitcoin forward address.. Lauda i will PM u the bitmixer code, if im super lucky u might be able to get it to work..

That is not how the Bitmixer code works, nor what it was meant to be used for. If you didn't download the letter of guarantee when you were initially on the website, then I'm pretty sure that you can't download it anymore.

Hi shield.. Well like said above.. I really had no idea what this mining fee was, i thought it was simply contributed to blockchain or alike, the 1 dollar that you are talking about, is that what i should have set the fee to, or do you mean i should have set it higher? Well Lauda was willing to guide me towards possibly getting the 150 Dollars back.. atleast i think, he asked me to transfer my private keyes into another bitcoin wallet and then messaging him back.. If that wont help, then i will beg to god that those 150 dollars dont get confirmed.

The recommended transaction fees are determined by primarily two things:
1) The size of your transaction.
2) The current recommended fee-rate in satoshi/byte.

Well Lauda was willing to guide me towards possibly getting the 150 Dollars back.. atleast i think, he asked me to transfer my private keyes into another bitcoin wallet and then messaging him back.. If that wont help, then i will beg to god that those 150 dollars dont get confirmed.
Importing it into a real wallet is just the first stepping stone. You should not be using Blockchain.info as a wallet for this very reason.

What is the chance of my transaction being rejected?
There is no way to know for sure. The longer it is not confirmed, the higher the chance that it gets dropped. You have at least 48 hours to go.

Keep trying to work with Lauda and Bitmixer.  It took some time to resolve the one problem I had with them years ago, but with patience and a little back-and-forth, I got my BTC from them.

Be nice, be persistent.  Bitmixer.io wants your continuing business!  They do not want to be scammed.

Your chances are well over 0% in my opinion.  Good luck, and if they contact you, do exactly what they say.
