Title: Ironic
Post by: lastguard on May 12, 2017, 10:00:29 AM
Right now I can clearly see that  what Bitcoin community is "feeling" about alt-coins is exactly same as what world was feeling about bitcoin when it was new. Spirit of idealist but poor people turned to hypocrites after bitcoins success.

Noble people of bank systems lost the war against young bitcoin peasents. That peasents are new noble people now and they disdain new peasents .

History repeats itself..

it make sene what you say, but remember that altcoin can't not grow before bitcoin grow in the future, they are following the giant, i agree that if bitcoin go even higher, altcoin will follow and do another crazy all time pump even on the minus shitcoin you can find aaround like they are doing now, and this make your comparison not exactly correct, because bitcoin will not lose the war against altcoin

It is just a cycle, sometimes you are at the bottom, sometimes you are at the top. What OP is saying here is reality and I think it does not reflect to all people. Let us be open minded here, bitcoin really changed the game in financial technology. It is leveling the field and all peasants or not, has a fair access to used and earn it.

Altcoin dont exits, there is this coin and that coin. Some are similar but most are quite different from each other.

Also there is no bitcoin community. Bitcoin is money. It is there for everyone. It is not just for some group of people.

Most coins are not needed and were made for fun testing of to make their developers rich.

Lots new coins that are sold in ICO, are here with only one purpose to crowdfund development of a project. Problem is that there is so little projects and no investors have so little tools to weed out good ones, that most projects are crap or way over founded. Since developers have zero responsibilities to the ones that crowdfund their  project in ICO, they ofcourse dont break their leg while lovely getting good pay from founds collected in ICO.   Of course this will change sooner or latter.

I'm sorry about you sentiments dude. But if you look at history, bitcoin was the first crypto to gain popularity from wide audience. And after that, a lot of altcoins begin to pop up like mushrooms. So you know that being the first have it perks, like is very very difficult to beat bitcoin as crypto because it really has soared specially today. Alt coins has its place, but it can't overtake bitcoin no matter what.

Please explain how Bitcoin has already won the war against banks?
You can't just look at the value alone, you'd have to take user adoption into account too and Bitcoin is still very very far behind in that area.

It's not even more efficient than Visa or Mastercard in processing transactions.

Another thing, I don't feel like most people who are into Bitcoin are automatically against other forms of crypto currency.
I'm guessing that a big chunk of people that are Bitcoin holders also have some altcoins or are interested in them and vice versa.

agreed. it's pretty funny to watch as well. i don't think many bitcoiners are aware of how they're sounding.

on the flip side they're probably right with most coins.

I really do not understand why some people see BTC as enemy against other Altcoins . the situation for BTC vs fiat is totally different story . BTC is not

at the same page with fiat . But for Altcoins and BTC they both at the same page i never saw BTC holder want altcoins to die BTC holders making a lot

of money because of trading alts they can not do that if there was no alts . please do not mix altcoins with shitiscamcoins . because all of us should be

against shitiscamcoins but at the same time with and supporting good Altcoins . BTC is the backbone that provide the whole crypto currency world wih

 strength

In fact bitcoin really going to a path like it will need some alt coins . With this price bitcoin is a bullion of gold , it is actually non-sense to use bitcoin as daily needs. (paying that amount for tx fee). Would you really use a bullion of gold for every transaction you make? yeah you wont.

when crypto market is full of its potential , bitcoin will be a safe heaven maybe but this market will not have a single currency , this is the path its evolving.

and @eternalgloom bitcoin won a war against banks with being successful, but thats not a complete take over. We can maybe say it didnt win the war but won a round.

In fact the future of crypto currencies are very bright. The trend of new generation s toward online business, they even do their shopping using online shops, therefore they need such a currency that can equally be accepted in all over the world.

Moreover, bitcoin can fulfill their requirements, although some other online currencies can be used for online shopping and business therefore I think n future as time pass the need and importance of bitcoin and other online currencies are increasing.
