It will probably be $100 before the end of 2017, don't let the dip scare you.

i think litecoin will recover the price as many of altcoin is getting down while bitcoin price is increase in yesterday and now after bitcoin price is down, i see that many altcoin is on the way to increase. but unfortunately, i don't know how much litecoin price will be recover but i hope the price will be increase more than before.

With the amount of big backers and money behind it in mining, I'd find it hard to believe we won't see at least a few more significant pumps in the next few months.  How high it goes and what it's resting price will end up at are a little sketchy, but I'm sure $30 won't be it's ATH.  There's too many whales with a lot of money at stake to let it slide with no recovery.

I was hoping for a significant dip so I could buy more before the real rise begins.

Whats the delay? It should have gone up by now?

If you check the chart you can see that LTC is still bullish. The fact that there is a price correction right now doesn't mean it will go back to 4$. I expect LTC to make a comeback this weekend. But in the end you never really know what will happen.

I guess no need to worry and the litecoin price rate will still go up we just need to w8 im sure that the price of the litecoin will go up this week we know that there will be a swing in the price chart it almost impossible for that litecoin to just go down without going up.

I think not only litecoin but other altcoin are also got affected due to this bitcoin price rise, and which altcoin has good potential will surely rise back when their will be correction in bitcoin price as this is the way traders do trading by selling bitcoin on high and buying good altcoin on low price.

Segwit was priced in beforehand, as soon as it seemed likely. I was expecting a bigger dip after it was officially activated.

Yep.
Could dip another $10 then will be the last chance to get cheap litecoins.

Yeah I scrambled to look at the litecoin price since he used the word recover. That being said I don't think litecoin's boost was very well deserved, its usage hasn't increased substantially and it doesn't offer anything more than bitcoin except faster confirmation times. At the end of the day to sustain this boost it will need real world usage, meaning that it gets accepted in a vast array of retailers like bitcoin currently does.

LTC has massive support in China and it is still very good coin, from the moment i have heard about SegWith i know it what will happen with price. Now i'm sure this is small correction and it would be good to stay there for a while. Also this is only round one i'm sure!
Real life usage? This will come over time, all this will attract users.

Offcourse it will.
Dont be scarry :)Your fear is based on knowledge that sometimes ago LTC  peaked 48$ and than fall down to 4$. Because there was no need in altcoins in year 2011. Bitcoin price was only 30$. It was soooo looong loong ago. Just forget about 4$ ok? You do not belive that Bitcoin will cost 100$ again right?

Now everything is different.

Litecoin has a strongest developers in world - Blockstream

Litecoin will have soon more new features like LN, RSK,MAST, Confidential Transaction.

It is a most technicaly innovative coin in market all best for Bitcoin will be on Litecoin now. Litecoin will combine features of (zcash, monero, ethereum) - if they cost now 50$ and higher alone why Litecoin should be cheaper?

Also Litecoin has strong China support. China is a 2nd economics in world. Behind it  a tone of money.

It will touch 0.0159 0.016 to allow people to jump in than it will go and stabilize 0.018 and after Lighting Network implimentation we will see new ATH (around 50$)

Lighting Network is a most wanted technology in cryptoworld in this year!
Imagine transaction time less than 1 second from Zürich to San-Francisko!

It is a new world record in financial transaction! Unbelivable.
Everyone will want it to use soon.

there are a lot of good news for litecoin, so i think it is safe to assume that things aren't over as far as rising up is concerned.
of course the rise was mostly because of the hype as we suspected and that meant it finished before the actual thing happened.

but now, we will soon see the effect of the real thing, meaning the effect of SegWit actually working on litecoin, there has already been some SegWit transactions on litecoin. and soon the hype will begin again.

also on top of that, the developers are currently working on lightning network and also a couple of additional features on litecoin which were enabled with SegWit activation. and that means we also will have another big hype coming to litecoin.

right now it is time to dip and accumulate, so have fun.

Yes, right... this kind of season we can use to buy as much litecoin as possible, if when the price rises later we will get a big profit.
I am sure the price of litecoins will soar again  :)

Yea I think so too. If you buy now you will surely be in profit at the end of may I believe. If not it's still a good long-term investment in my opinion.

i see only two things in litecoin:

1) a very stable price at the moment which is staying up strongly, and each time it passes the resistance levels it jumps back above it. that shows a lot of buys happening as it gets cheaper.

2) there is a high volume on the charts. which shows there is a big accumulation going on.

so i say it is not over and we are in for the real moon landing this time.

You are probably right it will jump again but i doubt this surprise can be greater than we had.

To be honest it is not stable, it is bouncing. Maybe we can expect stabilization around 0.018.

Acumulation was done long time ago under 10$. LTC still can surprise us, but we must be also realistic already this is major return.

Sitting here waiting more than 3 hours for a btc transfer..... the price has varied 100AUD during this delay.

still unconfirmed. (yes fees paid)

I look forward to LN and a increase in the adoption of LTC.

I think litecoin will recover, and recover to higher and higher ATHs within the next 6-18months.

I love bitcoin, but c'mon man, get your shit together.  ;D

Hear.Hear. Brother.
BTC's traffic is just outrageous at the moment. I'm carrying the torch for LTC's comeback

HOPEFULLY! my money is in LTC, I will go nuts if my speculations are wrong. By the end of month, BTC will reach more than 2k USD, and altcoins will surely follow, and my bet, since LTC is already updated, it is a good competitor amongst all alt coins.

All this is great but Litecoin has an image/branding problem. It will always be considered to be a "lite" version of Bitcoin.

However, I think if all those innovations are implemented WITH a change in name then it could be huge.

I'd vote for LightningCoin and keep the same symbol - LTC.

Yea I think you're right. With all the upcoming things, the price surely will come up again. I think now is a good time to buy if you aren't  in already. If you're looking long-term litecoin is the way to go.

I think it will definitely go to 50$.
Before august 1 there might be a market crash.
That time litecoin can save everyone from burning.
And beside litecoin is a very good alternative for bitcoin.

I doubt it. Segwit coming online for bitcoin means that litecoin has lost yet another previously unique feature to it in comparison to bitcoin. I feel the price will drop further and people will see litecoin as a bigger testbed for bitcoin.

I think the only way to see the litecoin rising the price is if the people move their money from bitcoin to litecoin. By other way, I think it will keep a price around $50

It has a huge support in China comparing to other "important" crypto currencies . I am expecting it to rise in the next few months. I am definitely holding all of my litecoins for the next few months.

If other people will invest in litecoin but Im hoping it will recover. Though we cannot predict the movement of this but lets see what will the price would be. Thus, litecoin dump and pump I think it will rise again.
