Title: Different account, same scam
Post by: HabBear on May 12, 2017, 08:06:22 PM
Friends,

Please be aware of any messages from member "Dannybrose292".

This member sent me a PM stating "I replied to your post" with a link that shows a URL appearing to be a Bitcointalk.org forum thread. Upon clicking on the link the URL changes however a mock version of the forum log in page shows up. It tries to get you to log in. I didn't log in, but I'm sure if I had the would have logged my password and stolen my account.

The gave me a link that should take me to the FortuneJack.com thread, but....

Here's the actual URL they sent me: http://brigitteberizzi.com/index/?user=

BEWARE OF THESE TYPES OF MESSAGES. Unfortunately I think this account was stolen because there's a lot of personal information on the profile. I doubt that the guy Danny Brose is the scammer behind this.

I will edit this post, but please REMOVE THAT LINK! We do not need others clicking it too, you don't know what else there is you could have picked up just by clicking it...

Edit: I have already warned people multiple times, including in threads that you have read HabBear, to NOT click these links. Certainly, do not help the scammers by posting that link on the forum for everyone to click either. We don't need to see the actual link, this causes more harm than good.

I already responded to you in the thread below this about checking your system. Now you have clicked that, you need to scan your entire system. Now.

I have also reported your post to have the link removed from your post since you appear to have gone offline...sigh.

1) Stop opening new threads for each user.
2) Stop posting the phishing links, newbies will click on it.
3) Provide a full list of users that are involved in the OP of the previous thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1912804.0
4) Rename the previous thread (link is above).
5) Lock this one.

Just report the PMs in future and they'll be banned.
