Title: Problem with 16 GB virtual memory
Post by: Cereberus on May 13, 2017, 06:26:11 AM
I just built a 3 RX 480 8GB Sapphire mining PC. At first it started working well but soon after Nicehash crashed and told me that I need Catalyst 15.12 (I have AMD Display Driver 16.12.2 as this driver worked well with multi GPU) and I need to set my virtual memory to 16 GB in order for Nicehash to support Multi gpu. What can I do to fix it ?

Edti; GIGABYTE Z97X GAMING 5 MOBO, G3240 GEN 4 INTEL , 8GB DDR3 1600 and a 120 GB SSD my specs

set your page file memory to 16gb go to system protection, advanced, performance settings, advanced again, now click on change and set 16gb min and max, and restart if you are using win 7 or just click ok with win 10

We have it together with a friend so I pictured your reply and sent to him but he is not at home now, when he will be in the afternoon I will let you know how it goes.

What about the Catalyst 15.12, I don't think it's necessary or is it ?

I followed the advice and set virtual memory to 16384 MB min and max but the problem is still continuing. When mining Ethereum the Nicehash miner runs fine for a few hours and then it stops, when mining Zcash it works like a charm. The problem is the profitability is much greater in Ethereum mining actually so what else can I try ?
