Title: Starting a new weed token...
Post by: 420Smokers.us on May 13, 2017, 11:33:48 PM
Hello everyone.

So last year I started http://420Smokers.us and have grown it to 380k facebook fans ( http://facebook.com/420smokers.us ) and 2.7k organic traffic per day so far.. pretty neat huh?

Mainly make money from ads and affiliate commissions at the moment but want to make a game that involves crypto, cards and weed.

We have been working on a white paper and virtual summit but are looking for a dev to help build out the necessary functionality and ICO.

Where would be the best place to look or anyone have any suggestion as to where to go from here.

The concept involves a 420 trading card game (ideally, we would have like to use counterparty but Bitcoin transactions are too expensive to make it viable and liquid enough. . )

So we would like to build it on Ethereum.

Thanks for the help.

EDIT:  The concept has now been further refined and the token will be worked into equity in our current site and business model.  Further updates to come.

That's pretty cool. What style of card game? You might want to look into "Spells of Genesis" and their currency "Bitcrystals". They are one of the more popular blockchain-based card trading games. You might be able to get a few ideas after seeing their system in action.

Now to play Devil's advocate, other than the card game, were you planning on the currency having actual real world function?

The reason I ask is because it's alot harder to sell something when a person have to buy a special "pot token" then trade that for the end product when they can more than likely drive 20 miles in any direction and complete the transaction with Fiat.

There's many different avenues, rev-sharing coins are always interesting (if you are looking to fund a business), though I'd be fearful of the legality of that type of situation.

I like the idea of a trading game though, especially if it's catchy!
