Title: Does it exist a place to keep track of your earnings?
Post by: kirie on May 14, 2017, 02:26:07 PM
Im holding a lot of coins of different types. I would like a website or a phone widget/app where I can see how much money I have. In other words execute this equation: number_of_coins1*price1+ number_of_coins2*price2 .. number_of_coinsN*priceN = Value. Right now its hard to keep track of you investments

You can use blockfolio. It is an app on smartphones. You will have to enter the amount of coins you hold per crypto and it will list, add a total of all your assets/coins. I am currently using it and it is quite ok

Maybe you can check your history or portfolio of the site that you use all the bitcoin trading site etc. have this kind of history transactions but you can also check the blockchain if you want to see the transaction in your bitcoin wallet you can also track your earning there.

You could use cryptcompare.com, it doesn't have all of the altcoins out there but a lot of them are included. Simply create an account and then go to Portofolio and add your coins.

I have used in the past some web-app just for tracking the value of portfolio.
But the price are changing from different exchange, sometimes the "fees" are not considered, or worst of all there isn't the right depth to sell all crypto to a certain price.

Try to built by yourself an xls sheet, I think you can monitor your portfolio as you want.
and meanwhile you learn how to set up a calculation sheet, that is not bad after all :D

Definitely plenty of pre-made spreadsheets abound, if you google around for them.  Blockfolio is really nice (as someone already mentioned) for a routine "snapshot" look but without excruciating maintenance it can be inaccurate for anyone who trades more than a little bit.  Also Polo (and I think trex and most of the other major exchanges) allow you to download your trade history as a spreadsheet or CSV so you can easily populate the data for historic P/L views.

Spreadcheets port easily, at least for your viewing pleasure, onto several devices like Android tablets.

And take a look at that URL there are all the most recent "last trade" values inside for each and every coin. Fetch those, multiply with funds hold, sum up the bottomline. You could ask around the freelancers at Bitcointalk if someone would tinker on a CGI that you can host on your own desktop or elsewhere, accessing your portfolio performance by a single click on a bookmark
Code:
https://poloniex.com/public?command=returnTicker

Make a simple Excel spreadsheet and log your data. Tons of information and implementation for Excel (and a mobile app)
In this case the information will be stable and as I got the guy wants to know the information right away when he open the source. To me the answer is some exchanger, but this is not the most safe place to hold money there. We know many stories already ::)

i use a simple trick for this, because i also have 5 6 coins in hold mode waiting for the pump, i simply leave the page, the exchange and the ann on google chrome opened all the time, and i set that if i close chrome all the same page will reopen, this is very helping for remember what are the coins i'm following

You can have spreadsheets auto grabbing information if need be.
Hence the returnTicker Polo url above. The trouble begins when puzzling a single data snipped out of the mess, and fetching the url only once each ohsoandsomuch hours, and not for every single spreadsheet cell again and again.
